And like I said a week ago, is the final chart ever going to be updated? I can do it if needed...

Exactly. The only reason why Kitty picked Bob is through process of elimination at the FINAL episode -- eliminating the 4 others for reasons first and then
having to settle with Bob because he was the only remaining option. Sorry, but one person doing this at the final episode doesn't scream "edgically
viable" to me. Bob was never that.

I'm watching all the seasons again and doing edgic. I'm on Guatemala right now, but here's my ASS one which I said I'd post ... I realize
having a winners list is stupid, but there's no harm in it, so I did my best...

CR: One small comment:
In the original ratings, which were done on a 3 point visibility scale, JennaL was CP2 in Ep 5, and UTRP2 in Ep 6. So, it is odd that you would rate her UTR1 / UTR1 on a 5 point visibility scale. |

I agree with RW. CR, your chart is full of shit !
j/k
RobM gets OTTN5 in Ep1, yet is #2 on the Ep1's winner list ?

Kathy <333 was very CPP!!

Going by those ratings, CPP is a good overall rating for Kathy and Shii Ann.

I wanted to point out that both Episodes 12 and 13 had very winner-like moments for Amber.

Oowatanite wrote:Rupert - 5/15 CP episodes Colby - maybe should be CP Amber - 6/15 CP episodes I'm guessing there's too many different ratings too Jenna - 4/15 CP episode Kathy - 5/11 CP episodes. 5 in last 6 episodes, had they been at the beginning or spread out more, maybe not CP overall Shii Ann - 6/13 CP episodes, 6/8 last episodes the other 2 were 1s. Same thing with Kathy only the P is questionable. If I had to make overall ratings for them all based on CR's individual episode ratings: tina - MORP rudy - OTTP jenna m - UTRP rob c - MORN rich - OTT sue - OTTN colby - CP ethan - MORP jerri - MOR lex - CP kathy - CPP alicia - MOR shii ann - CP tom - MOR rupert - MORP jenna l -MOR rob m - CPN amber - CPP Probably Also you guys should check out my Palau chart in the Edgic Charts forum. I'm through episode 6 so far. Keep in mind I use Warrior's visibility system. |

Here's the 2 charts for comparison.

In the original ratings, which were done on a 3 point visibility scale, JennaL was CP2 in Ep 5, and UTRP2 in Ep 6.In episode 5, Jenna L had one quick confessional about how she was upset about the swap and how she had to start over. It was quick, and it definitely wasn't of much substance. I didn't understand the CP2 rating when I looked at it. In episode 6, Jenna had no confessionals. In the conversation between Rob/Amber/Rupert/Jenna, all the other members were focused on. Jenna talked a bit, but I recall part of it wasn't even with her on camera. She had a quick remark at the challenge, but in the grand scheme of things, it was insignificant to the development of everyone else that episode. Everyone else got ample airtime. I maybe should bump it to a UTR2 since she was focused a lot on in the reward challenge, but that's about it. |

Wait, Amber had an INV1 in Episode 2? Was the no-INV rule placed after All Stars then? And when is the chart going to be updated?! If someone wants to send me
the data for the final episodes, I can do the whole chart myself and post it up here. I respect what Warrior does but it's not just the final episode that
hasn't been updated, it's 1 or 2 before that also. And the season has been over for a while now... final ratings aren't even on there either. If it
hasn't been updated by now, it could stay incomplete forever.

Honestly, the INV1 rule is very sketch for some cases.
Amber was definitely INV1 in episode 2 of ASS. I would argue Chris was in episode 5, and Yul in episode 4. Why were they spared INV1? |
|||

Right. And I had Bob marked for INV1 in 2 episodes -- one of which he had the same exact VF as Corinne (it was only like, 1 or 2 sentences and nothing else),
and she was INV1 and yet he was UTR1. Makes no sense to me.

Bob was NEVER INV1. There was always at least SOME substance to his edit. Compare that to Kenny's episode 3, where Ken was completely ignored, despite
winning the challenge for Fang.

INV wasn't established until after ASS, so we don't know if Amber was INV or not. Bob ought to have been INV in the episode where they discussed a fish. The fish had more screentime than Bob. |

She was INV1. Definitely.

Re Chris and Yul, if someone could direct me to the S9 edgic thread I could find my comments for the Chris episode. That's when I waxed poetic about each
rating I gave. Frankly, I don't recall the specifics.
Re Yul, he had a comment about Oz being Poseidon or some such both as the comment and the fact it was a strong SPV Positive Reinforced.. It stuck out for me, so I gave him UTR. If people say, "yeah, he said that, but so what?" - well, that's sorta the point of UTR1. If people had absolutely no memory of that they could argue for INV, but since I remembered it, INV was OTT (Off The Table.) |

I was completely positive I left a polite and explanatory message about 4 days after the finale, but apparently not! I don't tend to frequent SurvivorSucks
on off-seasons, as it is the most depressing place on earth, and I've been kind of busy.
So I'm sorry, that's… rude of me, as I was somewhat combative before being proven Wrong About Everything I Ever Said. So here's a condensed version: Q: So, how does it feel to be completely and utterly Wrong About Everything (You ever...)? A: Fine, Edgic is for fun. Q: Do you think you can ever be good at Edgic? A: No. I don't think I could ever pick JT over Stephen without stepping way deep into liar's paradox territory with the editors. He voted out Brendan in the "Brendan wants JT to win and thinks he's Made Of Sunshine" episode! How can that guy ever win? Q: So why do it? A: Start reading at first Q. Repeat until shining light of understanding fills your heart. Q: Biggest short sight? A: Well, I think either the editors give the casual viewer a heck of a lot more credit than I do, or they are constructing a few stories at the same time and it's edgic's only plausible job to determine which one's actually the winner's. Or I'm just bad at it, I don't know. Q: What about Erinn? A: I think maybe they kind of wanted her to win too. They're only people! Geeks, probably! I never really said it was likely that Erinn wins… Just plausible, given her bizzaro-world of an edit. Kind of have to stand behind that one (story editors work during the filming of the season, and it's weird to try and work under a different pretence). Anyways, I still think Edgic needs cUTR's and cOTT's. Don't know yet how involved I'll be during the next season, but that might be me kidding myself. Haven't read through the off-season yet, but I probably will. Happy season, life, etc. |
