I don't think Coach was for real. He was definitely doing a character.

I think all the soaring lone eagle shots should be included in Benjamin's Visibility.

I'm tempted to give Coach an OTTNNN.
Enough bullshit to fertilize Nebraska. Being properly called out by Erinn and Taj for his copious bullshit. A friggin' bullshit POEM at the end of TC (check the REPEATED jury reactions) Fashioning a cane BEFORE his supposed "injury" at the IC. |

JT is done. When stephen got a confessional to explain how and why JT was voting, JT's fate was essentially sealed.

Agreed. It's gotta be a Stephen/Erinn F2. If JT doesn't win the next IC, HE IS GONE 3-1.

Someone posted last season that if Britney Spears was on Survivor, she'd get an OTTWTF5. I think Coach has debuted that edit in tonight's episode.
Either he was playing it up big time for the cameras, or he went a little crazy out there.

Oh, for fuck's sake.
Is that a visibility record? |

So I guess Benjamin didn't need the eagle to get him to a 5 Visibility.
He got voted out and the Wings won a tough Game 7 - today is a good day. |

I've always had a bone to pick with the Vis Charts.
Why are only subtitled confessionals counted? They don't want to be redundant, that's why they don't put it again. You can't say that an unsubtitled confessional is on the same level as a camp sentence. It makes no sense at all. |

Oh yeah, and there's no way Stephen and J.T. are the final 2. We are once again shown JT and Stephen plotting for final 2 together, without any doubt.
Erinn says she wants to stick with Stephen and JT. Taj says she wants to stick with Stephen and JT.
If they are the final 2, then they editors should be fired and shot. There's just no way. |

so... what is the theory on the penultimate episode again?
is it that the winner goes all negative and weird or do they get glopped on with all sorts of sunshine and goo? |

one hundred and frigging sixty four.
There are only two options: He is not for real, he is for real. If he is not for real (I suspect this is the case) his overall edit was completely unnatural. Yes, they did mock him mercilessly (Carmina Burana, anyone?) tons of tongue-in-cheek stuff, and Jeff's wide-eyed You Gotta Be Kidding Me stuff. Plus the reactions of the jury. My gosh. But this would mean the editors were just having great fun with a tongue-in-cheek goofball, and he sucked the life out of several other people who may have had interesting edits of their own, like Joe and Debbie. They had their Coach quota, so other folks got short-shrifted. I could have used about 40% less coach and still found his edit almost exactly the same. Please don't do this again. If he is for real it's worse. all the mocking stuff is worse if he's for real, because he is seriously, sadly deluded. IMO I'm wondering if someone like him should be on a show like this - is it good for his mental health? then again, if he's too far around the bend he'll probably think that "O Fortuna" is perfectly apt as music background to his morning Klingon stretching exercises. Hell, he probably HEARD O Fortuna in his noggin. Either way, sucks. NOT entertaining - I don't need to say to the editors, "Okay, we get the idea..." In fact, by a couple of episodes ago I was beginning to feel sorry for him, and his "loved one's visit" was hopelessly sad, and tonight's ep made me wince. I recall the final lines in a poem (okay, yes -- by recalling a poem I'm making serious fun of him after saying I pity him) called Deteriorata, which was a satire of an awful 70s era poem called Desiderata: You are a fluke of the universe you have no right to be here Whether you can hear it or not The Universe is laughing at you behind your back. I hope he's putting us all on, I really do. Okay, other stuff. Uh, Stephen wins. Even my spouse caught what Stephen was saying. "You know," he said, "whenever he talks about strategy he says, "I", but when JT does, it's "we."" I said I was impressed with his insight. Heh. Erinn was pretty negative. Did she say much other than anti-Coach stuff? Taj's reaction was also pretty much anti-Coach, but it was laced with humor. In all a semi-weak penultimate episode precisely because Coach had FORTY FOUR PERCENT of the available visibility. In fact, this probably indicates as much as anything else how the finale will probably not be filled with incredible backstabs. Oh - notice that the HII wasn't even played??? |
