After thinking about it, I believe Taj and Erinn voted differently as part of the plan. Coach and Debbie think they have a strong alliance with JT and Stephen,
so what better way to throw them off by having the two actual people in the alliance (Taj and Erinn) vote differently.

Maybe it's because we haven't seen Debbie more than a 2 vis until recently, but she definitely seemed like a 4 this episode. Combine the overall
presence of the conflict within Timbira and her SPV with being targeted, and you have someone with more than average visibility.
Maybe it's just that I haven't been reading closely enough in this thread, but for all the small claims I keep seeing for Erinn winning, I haven't seen a detailed explanation for why Edgic should back her up. Again, maybe I've missed it... |

Is it certain complex confessionals she's had early on in the season concerning her boyfriend? Is it based on her storyline about outlasting the people who out-casted her early on? I've definitely read "convincing" cases for JT and Stephen and even Taj earlier in the season, but I haven't seen any for Erinn yet, despite the constant posts of her support. Or maybe I'm just mistaking "constant" with Oo's many posts of support? haha |

When all of this Coach crap is over with, I can see the real battle taking place between Stephen and JT.

She's a young brunette and she hasn't gotten an INV, so she's automatically a viable winner candidate.

Just for you JaMalle, I will present a thesis on Erinn's Edgic chances. It will be up by Sunday.
Stephen is the "obvious" Edgic fave, and rightly so, but then, so was Marcus. |

As someone who eliminated Erinn and never has been behind her edgically, I'll present my best arguments for her support. I'm sure Oo's explanation
will be far more impassioned and informative but here we go:
In a season about first impressions, Erinn did get the opportunity to speak to the audience in the first episode. She had her comment about Tyson before the credits (which I put little weight to, but we can't deny the fact that it was there) and then a random confessional introducing her to us. She was in no way part of the story of that episode, and her confessional wasn't particularly entertaining. It was put there solely to introduce the audience to Erinn as a character. Taj, Debbie, Sydney, Carolina, and Candace all were denied this same set up. Sierra and Sandy, the two first boots, were the only other women to get to introduce themselves. As someone clearly on the outs, Erinn was not presented to us as an absolute fuckup. Often, social outcasts are edited as stupid and at fault for their tribal position. Erinn was given a sympathetic edit and portrayed as actually, very game aware. Her confessional explaining why she might be socially outcast as well as her confessionals regarding the game (knowing when and how to sway a vote) were definite set ups for later on. Her entire pre-merge kept at least a semi-cohesive story of an on-the-outs girl trying to make it. Finally, post-merge we've seen her emerge as a larger character. Her outcast status was slowly eroded as she made inroads with Joe and then jumped into the Jalapao alliance with JT/Stephen/Taj. She's been given confessionals still, reward challenge, narration and game-related, which have further rounded her out as a character. At this point, an Erinn win would at least be satisfying to the viewers- if only by virtue that she isn't Sierra or Coach. Do I think Erinn will win? No. Her focus is in all the wrong spots and too often it seems as story happens upon her rather than is crafted around her. But, at least the support for her isn't totally unfounded. |

Thanks Oo! <3
And kitty, let's not be antagonizing. While I don't see the Erinn support, it's easy for anyone to miss an edit that we should have been looking at the entire time. You never know. And Edgic has been wrong before. We just gotta keep working out the kinks and stick to applying classic foundation Edgic principles while taking into consideration new patterns that enter after each season. eta- thanks taks for the seemingly unbiased (at least in effort) opinion on why Erinn would win. ^_^ Going back to first impressions. I remember distinctly Tyson calling Erinn a bitch. I guess people have gotten over that first impression...? Can't wait to hear Oo's case.

My Rating - players listed from most to least edgically viable.
1. Stepehn - CP4 2. Erinn - MORP2 3. JT - CP3 5. Taj - MORP2 5. Coach - OTTN4 6. Debbie - OTTN4 7. Sierra - MORN4 Timbira's Pathetic 3 were all N. Coach got caught in a lie and was a strategic retard. Sierra got negative SPV from everyone in those slambook RC results. And an ugly side of Debbie came out. She was more bitter than Coach about losing power and very snotty with Sierra (I'm a 46 year old professional women and she's 23 yadda yadda). Debbie was the most negative of the 3 Stephen, Debbie, Sierra - all seemed about the same Vis, all deserve 4 Erinn like Taj felt like a Vis 2, with her exile scene and all the challenge banter (To Probst - "I haven't eaten in 3 days") which Warrior doesn't always count. Now that Sierra the Goat has been slaughtered, I'm more confident F2 is Stephen\Erinn (if not Stephen\JT). Stephen and Erinn could be a hidden F2 pair. Just consider - Stephen's gotta trust her a LOT to risk exiling her instead of JT. He's a very catious and paranoid guy, so they must be really tight. And Erinn's gotta be tight with Syepehn to give him a throwaway vote or practical joke vote. We've seen Erinn talking more with JT (at F9) with Stephen, while Stephen ask last episode "can we trust her?" |

First watch. Noticed the look JT gave Stephen, when he told Jeff that at some point you have to go with your game-play over friendship (or something like that. Need my rewatch.) Definitely has to be leading to a showdown of some sort. Oh, and this ep sewed it up. Deb is so winning this thing!! Who knew! snerk "I'm too old for this!! sob-sob". Oh, Sierra, you were so owned. Lol (Note to future Survivor players: You need more in your arsenal than a good eye-roll.) |

All premerge boots were virtually ignored in favor of the Exile Alliance which was a catastrophic non-issue. Anyway I echo the chorus of people that say Stephen is winning barring some huge miracle (Go Erinn <3 or Taj <3) |

one scene really stood out to me and it's probably nothing and just a throw away but when Stephen won reward
Jeff "Who are you going to pick to join you?" Stephen "It's got to be Taj" Taj (subtitled) "That's why I love you" Does Stephen pick Taj over JT at F3? |

Seriously, Oo. I love Erinn too, but there's no way Erinn or Taj were OTT. Erinn was CP at best, but I'll probably give her MOR. Taj was MOR as well,
I believe.
