I don't agree so much with the Tom/Ian connection, though. Ian was in awe of Tom, like a son/father thing. Recall Stephen and JT's conversation about what Brendan said. Stephen simply couldn't believe it - and the best reason why he couldn't believe it is that he knew NOBODY would want to go up against JT. Hey, if JT wins, cool. Edgic wins, but I don't. No bigee. I'm still in the Stephen corner, though.

This is the first time I've been out of the majority in the merger! It feels... scary.

So yay! AndreSurvivor's preliminary ratings: Brendan- CP4 I didn't read any of his scenes to be particularly positive or negative. He seems like a cool guy who liked JT a little too much and then took his blindsiding very well. He got the episode title quote of calling Coach the biggest fraud in the game--a sentiment I think Jeff shares. Coach- OTTN5 I'm not going to use NN because he was just his usual buffoon self. Not vicious or cruel; just really pleased at the blindside, with endless stories and he mentioned the dragon slaying at least five times. Yeesh. We may need to rate him BDHN5 (beating a dead horse). Jeff quizzing him was so surreal; stories about people eating his ass?? Debbie- UTR1 She seems like such a fun woman... she mentions Coach needs a reality check in the first segment and then drops off the map. Even during the reward, which was left to Brendan handing his game to JT. Erinn- MOR2 She had her game comments, and I wouldn't argue with a CP, but she wasn't involved in any subsequent game talk, so she is there but just not very there. It seems as if this was a setup for next episode's moves. JT "can call on her." JT- CPP5 Warrior had 4 but all the SPV and focus made me give 5. All the players who mentioned how honest and awesome JT is: Erinn, Sierra, Taj and Brendan on top of last week's Coach, Tyson and Debbie. It's really excessive. I didn't feel great about him, but that's just me being me, but he was edited to be P. Brendan: "What a great soul. So sincere, so real." Sierra: "He's one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my life ... he deserves to be here." Yeesh. Sierra- UTR1 Does Coach mentioning Sierra is the bowel movements of the dragon make her N? She had a sliver of game talk with Brendan. Not in my eyes. But she can't possibly win after this disastrous nosedive. But next week looks like she will be a sympathetic underdog. Stephen- CP3 I was shifting between MOR and CP, because he was away for a lot of game, but his extended exile island scene was great for his character, and he got game talk with JT about if they feel in control of the game. It may not bode well for the future, but it was enough for CP. Also, they played non-foolish music as he failed to make fire, which they could have done; also, he commented making fire was his reward, followed by his arrival at IC where he recounted his success at EI (a very curious scene). (After the challenge: "It was a big step." Not just his peak--a "step.") Plus he got a voting comment. Taj- UTR2 Thinks Timbira means "confused." She mentions how Jalapao doesn't even need to put a plan into action and that Timbira is more than happy to destroy itself. Since the merge, she has gone back to her status as UTR. Tyson- CPN2 He was highly sarcastic and caustic, but he was game focused. He was shown as a great athlete, and got very well-placed confessionals. Actively confesses he wanted to lose Sierra's vote. Winner picks: 1. Stephen 2. JT 3. Erinn

I'm going to repeat this because I think this is really important: Drama and suspense for FTC: Lots of game left, and everyone now thinks JT is this beautiful soul, what happens when he blindsides everybody? Expect hurt feelings and t ears! You'll be second guessing JT through and through. "This guy keeps blindsiding people who love him and trust him, wait 'til the jury gets a word at him!" JT just voted off Brendan, someone who wanted to make him win. Ouch. Didn't see it coming, talk about a jury connection right from the start (remember Eliza and Parvati early in merger, too). This constant reinforcement that Jalapao has only 3 but Timbira is eating each other is relentless, adding doubt to them, but we keep being reminded that Timbira fakely has decided on it being JT. His own ally Taj recognizes that he's a huge threat. This is doubt, in a subtle way. Everyone loves him--but you don't want that anywhere near the end, and Taj pointed that out! Predictions: Tyson goes, he's won two immunities and Jalapao is going to see that they have a number advantage with Erinn and Sierra joining them. There's still more story to go with Coach--remember what Candace said: "His ego will be the death of him". Tyson got a cooloff in visibility this week, and a quote on how he's going to win after treating Sierra like crap... he's gotta be toast. Debbie is definitely 4th or 5th place with her edit. Jalapao is going to be the Final 3. Erinn or Sierra will weasel in there somehow after the blindsides of Tyson and Coach. Last Edited By: BlakeB717 04/16/09 10:41 PM. Edited 2 times.

She was completely irrelevant for half of the episode, and had one confessional about wiggle room. I'd even go with UTR, but if that comment is significant enough for you, go with MOR2. We didn't learn THAT much from her to give her CP--it's a stretch to give her better ratings.

Woo, thanks for remembering me. Yeah, JT was my episode one pick and though he fell to my 2nd/3rd pick for a while, I'm 100% behind him now. I haven't actually seen tonight's episode yet, but reading everything does make me worry about JT's chances. Anyway, just hopping in to show JT some edgic-love (because he really is more complex than people are giving him any credit for).

That doesn't mean he is automatically final 2, but if he does get there that doesn't mean he wins. I think it is very possible that Stephen could end up beating him, if it is a final 2. I also know that the contestants would be morons to let JT near the end of the game, but Remember Timbra was also stupid enough to give away their numbers advantage. I don't think it is too hard to assume they would be all stupid enough to let JT near the finals. Coach is clearly delusional if he thinks he has a chance to beat JT (if he makes it to the end). So I think they all are stupid enough to let JT get near the end of the game, but for some reason he doesn't win. Possible a pissed off Coach?

I also feel like the audience was supposed to pull for him over Coach and Tyson. Coach - OTTN5 - OTT straight from the get-go with the absurd Amazon story. His edit so far is building up to a huge feel-good blindside for the audience...which could happen as soon as next episode. Debbie - UTR1 - Almost invisible. Erinn - MOR2 - Had her scene with JT (possibly for a jury vote for JT later on?) but invisible the rest of the episode. JT - CPP4 - Positive SPV from multiple directions, I gave serious consideration for CPPP. Hell, Brendan's strategy was to make JT win because he's such a good guy... Sierra - UTR1 - Again, getting negative SPV from N characters does not mean she's negatively toned. If anything, we're supposed to feel bad for her. Stephen - CPP3 - That exile scene cements him as my pick for winner. Got game talk with JT, but his TC vote comments was confusing as hell...I think he thought Brendan made the wizard comment. Taj - UTR2 - Again not shown involved in the decision making, just like last week. This just strengthens the fact that she does not win. Tyson - CPN3 - Like Coach, I feel like his edit is building up to a huge blindside that the audience is supposed to enjoy a lot. Winner: Stephen - The exile scene with him was so unnecessary and is either 1) a great scene for the future winner or 2) foreshadowing a future fire-making tiebreaker that he wins or 3) both. Backup: JT Eliminated: Everyone else
