I think he was brought up in a very sheltered environment and can't help but feel that what he thinks is how the world is when clearly he has no idea what the world is like and how normal people behave. So when he goes to women one by one and expounds on his philosophy of life, it's self-serving and he's way too touchy with the girls when talking to them as well. Not a good combination at all.

Yeah, I wondered if there were also some cultural differences going on. I don't know any Indian men so I don't know what their social norms might be. But he could take a look around the room and notice that none of the other guys are acting that way. And yes, his habit of lecturing women while he feels them up is condescending and obnoxious.

I actually do think he is not entirely blind to the fact that he can't be everyone's friend. I think he knows it but simply won't admit it and just wants to come off as a "nice" person that everyone loves (in his own mind). Despite having a high opinon of his own thoughts, I still think he's starving of approval as well as attention. He just needs people to like him and think of him as "nice" so much so that he gets overbearing with it.

True. But when asked, he could just say "At this point I do favor some people over others, but I don't want to name names. I want to give everybody a chance and not make judgements about them right off the bat" or something to that effect. Instead he puts up this phony front that he likes everybody equally. Blah.


This behavior comes from his immaturity. He is clearly hitting on them, in his really strange immature and weirdly conservative way, trying to be friendly in a way that's condescending and uncomfortable. It's too bad no one cared enough to take him aside to let him know how he comes across.

I don't know why he acts that way, but I bet he will still be doing it when he's forty. Maybe that's the way his dad treats women. Some men never outgrow their creepiness. And these women should stand up for themselves and tell him to back off. None of them seem to be enjoying his lame advice and gross advances.
