Someone compared Twitter with a radio - you just have to find the "stations" that interest you. Best explanation I've seen so far.
TweetDeck is a great application, because you can separate feeds into groups, kind of like iGoogle. News, Tech, Politics, Trashy Gossip, etc. It's interesting to observe who tries to "follow" me - usually I can figure out their angle, if it's selling something, etc. Sometimes it's impossible to understand, but I don't think it's creepy - it's amusing. Who cares if they follow you? They're trying to get you to follow them in return. |
