Before speaking a word to each other, the teams are each forced to eliminate one player from their tribe who will not go on with them to their camp.

If the weak are presented as the more likeable characters and underdogs, then he'll be a villain. Maybe the weak will actually be annoying as well as poor at strategy, making them deserving to lose. Not that I like Ben, but you need to give him a chance before you paint him the villain because he wants the strong at the end.

More likely, he gets to start the game looking not as smart as he thinks he is, since whoever they "get rid of before they even start" actually gets a headstart on an immunity idol. I think they'd like that to happen from a story perspective, but they can't really just make it happen. We'll really have to wait and see. While he may come out as a little abrasive from the beginning, it doesn't mean he's the season's bad guy from the beginning. I would like to see the first few minutes like last season just to know how to judge them.

Frankly, I think he's just worried that someone who is clearly smaller and physically weaker than him is leagues stronger than him mentally.

A lot of big characters don't win the game. Keeping the strong doesn't mean Ben will be shown as a villain. The people that Ben sees as lazy could be edited to as being lazy, etc. Remember how Kenny keeping Kelly was shown, even though that was a good game move. X Heaven forbid someone try to get together an alliance of strong people instead of just bungling their way through the game relying on twists to help him/them.
