I think you're right about Miles being Candle's son...especially since Daniel said maybe he's been on the island and just doesn't remember. From the time Charlotte found the polar bear and saw the collar, I've been under the impression that she's been on the island before with Dharma and that she remembers it...Daniel didn't have the conversation with her that he had with Miles, so I think she and Daniel both know she's been on the island before (maybe they've discussed it). And if it makes sense that Miles was BOI (born on the island = BOI as they say in Galveston), with Candle as his father ... Wonder who his mother was? And if it makes sense that Char was BOI, her parents could be almost any pair of Others, hostiles, losties, or a combination thereof. How about Ellie (who may very well be Eloise Hawking) and Charles (Widmore)? Miles and Charlotte having high-profile parents would go a long way to explaining why they were picked for the 'mission' in the first place - they all seemed very young and inexperienced to be sent on such an important task? Wasn't Candle's wife holding a baby in one of the flashbacks (where he was filming the instructional movie?)

And I can't remember if Candle's wife was holding the baby or not, but he climbed out of bed to go check on him in the beginning of the epiosde, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume that she's the baby momma. And I know lots of people are all giddy over the thought of the whispers being the time skippers, but I wouldn't like that at all, just because of some of the stuff the whispers have actually said.

What exactly have they said? I remember reading something about the whispers. They were saying random things IIRC. Like run and hide, etc... I do remember Shannon's name being called out, too.

Is Ajira only in operation during a certain timeframe? The idea that the canoe people were O6 and that that timeframe was "the future" is cool, but if "the future" is 2008 then the camp actually looks a little too clean. Three years of weather should have nearly wiped it away. Perhaps it's actually "the present" (2005) and when the O6 finally return (via Ajira?) they go back to the moment they left.

I agree. I remember Sawyer hearing whispers and it was saying "it'll come back around." That was what the guy in Australia said to him after Sawyer shot him. I always thought the whispers were the island.

I don't think that will be the case. eta - chidelta, Locke saw Kate too. The only one who hasn't mentioned a visit from Locke is Sun. No idea how Ben has Jin's ring. Anyways, i think the idea is that Daniel wont get nosebleed cause he already has a constant in Desmond. (just like Daniel being desmonds constant fixed him) And i also have a funny feeling about Charlotte suddenly being ok and losing her nosebleeds and headaches when she woke up at the beginning of this episode. I have a feeling when she passed out she start skipping through time consciously (like Desmond did in The Constant). And at some point in the future (episodes wise), we'll see time skipping Daniel meet up with conscious time skipping Charlotte and make himself known to her to save her in HER future...thats why when she woke up so disoriented in this episodes and asked who he was...then he said daniel...she got better. And yes, the only way Ben would know about Jin is from Locke. And i can already think of the great (flashback?) scene in a future episode when Locke kills himself. Im pretty sure ben was there. I wanna hear their conversation about their conflicting roles as "island leaders" :)

I don't think that will be the case. I kinda think they will return at the moment they disappeared. Because of old lady Hawkings doing all her coordinating so they can go back to just that time & the fact she told Ben he has 70 hours to get them all together. And as far as the whispers go, I tend to think they are voices from the past & future colliding in the present. Not just "The Island". They say specific things that one would hear in conversations. Here is an example (copied from a post at The Fuselage): Okay, here's a draft of the earthquake scene at the beginning of A Tale of Two Cities. It's broken into two sections. The first part contains voices that were fairly clear on screen and some lines people heard quite well, the second half the voices get really processed and weird and are much harder to hear. Please note since many of the voices overlapped and required different processing techniques, the file I have provided is only a basic starting point and though you can hear all the voices some of them are not as clear as they could be. Sorry it got too complicated to keep track of when I was isolating each voice! File is here A Tale of Two Cities Earthquake scene 1. Juliet: Here I am thinking that free will still actually exists on…. (0 sec) 2. Male: Whoa (6 sec) 3. Juliet: under the doorway, get under the doorway (6.2 sec) Door opens 4. check _____(alert?) We don't know she was coordinating them to go back to just that time. Coordinating, yes, but can't be sure when they get zapped back to the island. The 70 hours time frame probably has more to do with what she can do in their timeline, not the island's...?

I got the impression from the pendulum thingy, and the maps showing pendulum spots, that her 70 hour window was referring to how long the path onto the island would stay open, or some such nonsense. If they don't make the window, then it's back to the pendulum drawing board.

It's all pretty well summarized in the Lostpedia article, so you don't have to waste your time going through the website and trying to find all the hidden stuff. So far, there's nothing to definitively prove that an Ajira flight is how the O6 get back to the Island, but that's the way the speculation is leaning. A few things: According to the website, Ajira "launched" new service on 01/21/2009 -- the date S5 premiered. They have something called "Destination: Destiny" (this is what was posted on the website) ... NOT SURE WHERE TO GO? Get lost in the wild wonder of the world and let time and space have no consequence. For $87 you'll be whisked away to an unknown fateful destination of your destiny. Actually, it was radiation or strong electromagnetic stuff, IIRC. Which is why I thought Desmond was so affected and the only one affected (only one coming from the island, I mean) in the first place. And ever since Sun told Widmore they had the same wants, I thought she was talking about going back to the island, not killing Ben. So yay if I was actually right about something!

It was like Donald Duck shaking his fist at the sky. The revelation that Jin didn't die in the explosion was overdue; the fact that it was Danielle and her party who found him felt like a bone thrown to viewers for hanging in through the entire hour. Grump. I guess I need to watch it again. Nah that's pretty much how anyone cynical feels about the season so far... very much redundant tease after tease with scraps of meat here and there. I figure though they HAVE to kick stuff up into more original territory soon though, they're pretty much exhausted of excuses to stall out any longer to the point Ben even says "We're running out of time!" in the last ep, like he read my fucking mind.

The part of him seeing Kate felt forced to me. I really long for the tough-tender Sawyer who could strangle Locke's dad, not this mopey Sawyer. After all, it's ... Kate.

Anyone? While it seems unlikely that the writers planned his being discovered by the French team that far back, it would be cool if there was some sort of reaction. But then again, she was pretty crazy and could have easily blocked out, or dismissed as a psychotic flashback, the memory of the burned up Korean guy who appeared in the water and then later mysteriously disappeared right before her eyes.
