7. Wan & Chung / Single Moms (Katsuya)

Wan & Chung, are the top villains of any ATTAR season. They were good (capturing 1st on half of the legs they were in, evil, and especially memorable. For many, they were the best team of the season. On any other season, I would agree they would be number one or number two in terms of my favorites. However, they also happened to be in the season with the best cast ever. And as much as I Iove my villains and snarky teams, the two ATTAR3 above captured my heart ever more. Let this not take away from the ownage of Wan & Chung though. Wan & Chung got off to a relatively great start launching to a 1st in Cuba and then using a Fast Forward in Colombia for a second 1st place finish. Their luck was remarkable and similar to Margie & Luke's placement in the first half of the season, got either a 1st or 4th place finish.

Another issue I currently have with Wan & Chung is that I cannot tell either of them apart. I'm sure if I read W&C's seasons I would know, but after the conclusion of ATTAR3, I could tell other people suffered from this problem. At this moment, I think Chung is the skinny one and Wan had the kids? I'm not sure, but if someone could tell me, I would appreciate it (though probably forget it a couple of weeks later). The triad mothers got into probably one of the most colorful controversies in ATTAR. During Leg 7 in Estonia, the pair got into a major update squabble with Ronnie & Ben in three areas: the roadblock, the route info task which required them to carry a cannon, and then the subsequent detour. Tensions between the two had suddenly spiked with the conclusion of the Spain leg and both raced for the U-Turn. The boyfriends got to the U-Turn first and used it on Wan & Chung. The moms were eliminated but argued their spot back into the season by pointing out my flawed updates and reasoning that if I had updated correctly, Ronnie & Ben would be out as Wan & Chung would have gotten to the U-Turn first and U-turned them. To settle the squabble, they then squared off in the horrible split leg in Tunisia & Greece. As a result, Wan & Chung again lost out in an update race to U-Turn the boyfriends and were themselves U-Turned and eliminated in Tunisia. The huge controversy was over, and as a result the season quickly turned into a much nicer and quieter season. No matter who was eliminated between Ronnie & Ben or Wan & Chung, it would have happened anyways. Had Wan & Chung have survived to the end of the season (though unlikely due to the competitiveness found in the Top 5), they would have been able to place at most 2 spots higher.
