That's insane.
Glad it's doing well. How were the ratings after the Survivor-lead in a few seasons back, anyone know? |

they really should give it a better timeslot, and put it after a popular show in the fall. Its working, thanks to the BB lead in.

TAR's scheduling problem is that CBS' schedule has few weekday holes.
If Doctor Vegas fails and Judging Amy continues to suffer ratings erosion, perhaps CBS could shift Judging Amy to Fridays and place TAR in Judging Amy's slot, the current TAR timeslot. However, that's pretty much a longshot. Or maybe CBS could shift the popular but old-skewing 60 Minutes 2 to the weekend, and give TAR the Wednesday 8pm EST/PST, 7pm Central time slot. |

I really wish they would bring it during the week whenever TAR 6 comes out in the fall.. I think it could bring in a lot of good ratings.

Quote: Yup. I'm really hoping that something in CBS' weekday line-up gives before TAR6 time rolls around, because as of right now, it's set in a 10 PM slot on Saturday. Z- |

What were the overnights for Episode 3 on Saturday?
Here they are: "Amazing Race 5" on CBS tied for the hour with the first half of "Chicken Run" on NBC, 2.3/5. Not good. Viewers declined from last week by (I think it was) 1.2 points share-wise. |

At least it tied for the hour...

It's a rerun of a reality TV show. There aren't many people freaky enough to watch an episode they just saw twice. I am, but I have mine on tape so I can watch it twice at my leisure. If anything, the rerun will just draw more viewers to the main hour.
::gasp:: at the possibility of TAR beating Law & Order in ratings |

Quote:TAR6 is set for 8 PM, not 10 PM, on Saturday. Which is great for me cause this damn Tuesday at 10 PM shedule is making me into a zombie at work every Wednesday. |

They should put it on after Survivor in the fall, but of course that will NEVER happen.

Speaking of the cartwheel, did anyone see it on VH1's Best Week Ever this week? It was great! They did a whole segment for Charla!

Episode FOUR now up!
IT BEAT L and O and WON THE NIGHT!!! LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Fast National ratings for Tuesday, July 27, 2004. On cable, Democratic candidate John Kerry's spouse was speaking to delegates, but on the networks, viewers were more interested in "Trading Spouses." FOX's cash-in reality show improved dramatically in its second outing and helped lead FOX to a demographic win. Overall, the night went to CBS with a 5.7 rating/10 share. FOX was second with a 4.6/8, narrowly beating NBC's 4.5/8. CBS trailed with a 3.8/6. The WB did a 2.0/3 for fifth, better than the 1.5/3 for UPN. Among adults 18-49, FOX earned a 3.5 rating, nipping CBS' 3.3 rating. NBC was third with a 2.9 rating and ABC stayed fourth with a 2.0. The WB's 1.3 rating and the 0.8 rating for UPN trailed. FOX began the night on top as "Trading Spouses" did a 5.8/10 and dominated the hour among adults 18-49. CBS got a 5.3/9 out of "Navy NCIS" for second. ABC was third with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," which had a 3.9/7. NBC was fourth with a repeat of last week's "Last Comic Standing." On The WB, "Gilmore Girls" was in a dead heat with UPN's "All of Us" and "Eve," which averaged a 1.5/3. CBS moved into first at 9 p.m. with the 5.6/9 for "Big Brother 5." NBC's "Last Comic Standing" had a 4.5/7 for the hour. ABC was third with "According to Jim" and "Less than Perfect." FOX dropped to fourth as "That '70s Show" and "Quintuplets" averaged a 3.3/5. "Summerland" did a 2.5/4 for The WB, beating UPN's "America's Next Top Model" encore. At 10 p.m., "Amazing Race" did a 6.1/10 to win the hour. NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" was second with a 5.9/10. ABC trailed with "NYPD 24/7." |

6.1 is the worst rating TAR has gotten so far! CRAP! .8 rating decline

Re: Amazing Ratings-Episode Four now added!!

There's two factors for this sonic (Don't freak out)
1) Democratic convention did stop lots from watching because lots of midwestern and eastern states had delayed programming of the show. 2) CBS really didn't advertise this leg too well, don't know why, they just didn't. Look for them to advertise leg 5 a lot though, Egypt will be TONS to offer and this episode should pick up viewers. No ratings were outstanding last night, but TAR won the night, so just be happy for that. |

Re: Amazing Ratings-Episode Four now added!!

Another thing...Trading Spouses (stupid FOX ripoff of ABC) won in the 18-49 demographic with a 4.5 while TAR got a 4.2.
You're right...i should calm down, i just thought finally TAR would be able to pull off a 7.0+ rating w/o a Survivor boost. Edit: I Just realized something. Since some of those midwestern states did have that live demo coverage. The ratings numbers could be mixed up. i.e. The all-star game was live, got a preliminary 8.3, but really got an 8.8. Same could be for TAR...when the final numbers come out that account for this delaying, then it could definately be higher than 6.1. |
