Finally! Hatch stayed in way too long. Sandra, Tom, Ozzy, Terry, Amber, and Chris all deserved to be in this over him.

Jonathan and Candice were together, correct? As were Yul and Becky. If Sundra was really supposed to flip sides with Candice, do you think she'd stick with Yul and Becky over the other two? Come on. Two people don't control a tribe. Especially when the other three are close.Except like craig said, Sundra chose Yul/Becky when she didn't mutiny. Not only that, but Sundra didn't trust Jonathan in the least. Even Candice didn't trust Jonathan and was ready to dump him. Ozzy and Jonathan would have been the next two out of Aitu, there's no doubt about that. What about Yul getting lucky with the mutiny? That was a huge reason why he made it to the end. If there's no mutiny, let's say Aitu wins the next two challenges, and there really is a double boot. That would be the best case scenario for them, and they are up in numbers 6-3 at the merge. Guess what? Candice and Jonathan now would flip, and Yul would be fucked with no time to bring Jonathan back. Also, say they lose a challenge, Ozzy would go. They lose another, Becky leaves. And if there really was a bottle twist, Yul leaves in 10th due to Sundra and Candice's relationship. You're right, the mutiny was lucky (and unlucky for Candice). But at the same time, if Yul got wind of Jonathan flipping (which he was fairly perceptive, Candice was just too good for him to see through), then there was still time to change his mind. It would have been harder, but not impossible for Yul to take the majority so to say with 100% certainty that he would have been screwed is untrue. Like I said, Ozzy/Jonathan are gone. But Yul was the winning factor in the first challenge after the mutiny, and they won the second one. Challenges are a part of the game, and while I do take away some credit for a winner who needs challenges, the fact is at the team portion of the game there is still a roughly 50/50 chance of winning which is relatively high. Also, off topic, but let me just say how I LOVE that Timbira and Jalapao are so even challenge wise. It makes for interesting challenges. Especially after the run that was Kota, NuAirai, Fei Long, Moto, NuAitu, NuCasaya, etc. Yau already had a target on his back because of the idol that Alex/Mookie revealed he had. And to say that Amanda/Yau were voted out is short-sighted, since with Amanda, Cirie would have forced a tie and Amanda would have been safe, and Yau may not have had such a target on his back without the idol. No idol, there's a strong chance they do not get voted out in the first place. Yau recognized his precarious position and took a gamble ... which wasn't such a bad gamble, it only looks bad in hindsight. But who could have guessed that Dreamz (someone who appreciates the small things because he's been through rough times) would repay him back with a vote off? Its not logical to think that way, and so if Yau has Dreamz in addition to Earl and the idol ... that is some good security. That is why I rank Yau above Earl ... Earl outplayed Yau, yes, but because he clicked better, but his game was superficial and ended there. Yau was a much better thinker and could outmanouver Earl strategically, any day of the week. With social refining, he'd beat Earl at the game every time. |

I think it's strange that Jalapao has won almost twice as many challenges but is down one person. Timbira hasn't won a single reward, but they've
won one more immunity. That has to be frustrating for Jalapao.

Oowatanite wrote:That would have made no difference. It's virtually impossible to conduct an accurate poll these days, and by accurate I mean where every discrete person taking part votes only once. Certain people take it so personally when the conventional wisdom deviates from their own opinions, they'll do whatever they have to do to make every poll say what they want it to. The only recourse would be for someone with access to a list of the known RavuRules ghosties to do a poll like chapera rocks does where the voting is public, and exercise strict discretion over which votes will count. Even then one would have to take the results with a grain of salt. |

Even with no cheating or double voting, it's impossible to fairly rank the Top 10 or 20 when asked to rank all 250+ Survivor at once. First, some are lazy
and block vote certain seasons over others that they barely remember.
Second, lots of people probably gave Hatch and Cirie 8 or less thinking "freaking Hatch is overrated just because he won S1" or "Cirie will unfairly beat all the winners just because she is so damn popular." Coversely, Romber are disliked at Sucks yet legitimitely deserve Top 12 or 15, so I gave them a 10, and thus failed to distinguish a non-winner from a dozen or so other 10's who are much better. Mariano and Yau-man Top 5? Huge joke. Better than Rob C or Cirie? No way. But that's what a combination of cheating, seasonalial favoritism, and "stop Cirie" voting gave us. |

Whether you agree with the results or not is beside the point. People are entitled to their opinions and can vote any way they want to. But if one
person's input is weighted at the expense of everyone else's, there's no point in doing it, let alone arguing over it.

According to another poll the best players are:
1. Todd 18.1% 2. Yul 17.7% 3. Cirie (Exile Island) 11.2% 4. Rob C. 9.6% 5. Rob M. 8.4% 6. Parvati 6.8% 7. Fairplay 6.4% 8. Tina 5.2% 9. Brian 4.8% 10. Danni 4% 11. Sandra 3.6% 12. Richard 3.2% 13. Stephenie 0.4% 14. Sugar 0.4% http://www.the-top-tens.c...est-survivor-players.asp |

The pecking order on NuAitu, once Cao Boi left, was Flica, Ozzy, Jonathan, Sundra, then the core 3 were Yul/Becky/Candice, as seen in that conversation
between Yul, Becky and Candice. Candice was never really all that close to Jonathan and showed that she was ready to ditch him, so if NuAitu lost another
challenge, it would've been Ozzy, then Jonathan, because neither Sundra or Candice had particularly strong connections with him. At that point, even if
Candice wanted Sundra to stay, then the best she could've done was force a tie, so Yul would've made the merge either way.

Sad day for gay Survivor fans, with homophobe Mariano beating Richard and Todd for #1 white male.
I'd be very surpriswed if Earl and Yul aren't the top 2, given this poll's biases. I mean, Rob M can't go that much higher than Amber and Parv can't go that much higher than Cirie. |

If Earl or Yau-Man wins then this poll will officially fail. a Parvati win could still save it.

Um, Cassandra played a lot better than Earl. She would probably have won if it was a final 2 like everyone was expecting.
