You're kidding right? Outside of Chris Daughtry, every guy who has been an Idol finalist was all about the ghey. Clay Aiken, Mangina Sanjaya and Danny Noriega come to mind.

Glay and Sanjaya tried to hide it, even if it was obvious. Gentle is not gentle about it, it is in your face. Danny Noriega is tame compared to him. There hasn't been anyone on that level of Queer that I can remember.

I can see someone who knows they will get a lot of air time wanting to use the show as a stepping stone for other plans. It's not like winning the show brings guaranteed success. Besides Norman clearly isn't gonna jump through all the hoops Idol wants its contestants to jump through. He can't even follow instructions to sing straight for one song. And I <3 that about him. :)
