Being an only child....and having no friends.....I didn't really get to play boardgames. However I still owned them and enjoyed looking at the board, and occasionally playing against myself. My favorite game to play against myself was Candyland with all it's glorious characters and pretty colors.

King Kandy He seems kind of pompous...with his cupcake like septor. However, he does look delicious. 8. 
Jolly He's like something you'd see on a acid trip (not that i've been on one, but I imagine if I had beeen....i'd see Jolly in it). I'm thinknig he was based on like generic hard candy, which is always kind of blah, unless it's lemon. But he's purple which would be grape which is uber gross. 7. 
Mr. Mint First off mint is gross, I used bubblegum toothpaste till I was like 12 cause I hated it so much. Secondly he's a tinman ripoff, thirdly he looks like a queer.

Fun Fact: this is probably the only boardgame that's popular in the US that no-one in the UK has ever played.

According to the Wikipedia...
Candyland, is a simple racing board game. It has become a cultural icon in the U.S., where it is among the first board games played by children because it requires no ability to read and only minimal counting skills. No wonder I loved it so much 6.

Lord Licorice So OTTN, but every board game needs a good villain so he's a good fit. He's the kind of fellow you don't want to meet in a dark alley, he even has a pimp cane. Also licorice is gross, which makes him even more frightening. |

I was the same way except for the only child part. I had a whole shitload of board games which I never really got the chance to play with anyone except myself and my brother. My favorite was: 
I also had a Batman board game, a Batman Returns game, an ALF game, a Dinosaurs game (you know, that old TV show with the dinosaur family and the little baby. Not the Mama!), a Jurassic Park game, Battle Masters, and also two "talking" board games. One was set in a scary mansion and was vampire based. The other was a sci-fi outer space type game. I don't remember the names for either one. In addition to owning all the usual classics like Candyland, Monopoly, Scrabble, etc... ETA: Omega Virus! That was the name of the talking sci fi game. I still can't remember the name of the other one.
