Teyona (and Aminat) probably has as much of a chance booking jobs in Brazil as Bianca would in China... or Camille in Milan, for that matter.

I actually think that it was slim pickings as far as the white models -- Celia is 25 and Allison has a terrible walk, although I kind of imagined that Celia would be able to sell herself as a model (and she did, "booking" 3 out of 4). However, she's still 25. A bad walk will kill a girl every time, so Teyona and Aminat surely would have that edge over either of them.

I thought the designer's comment about liking Fo's "ethnic look" was kind of telling. A taller girl with a similar look would perhaps be selected if a designer wanted to switch it up in diversifying their campaign/show.

When it comes to black models, I think that Brazil prefers a Gracie Carvalho type. Black, but she looks like she could be something else (and probably is, given that she's Brazilian). Fo is certainly more racially-ambigious, but then again, Gracie Carvalho is infinitely hotter. Too bad for Fo that she's got a stumpy-ass body.

The show can't be so realistic, as any black model at that point in the competition would basically get shut out at the go-sees. I think the designers are "fair" in comparing the girls amongst themselves and who impressed the best (or fucked up the least), but wouldn't necessarily book them in a real go-see situation.

There is something about Teyona's edit that makes me feel like they could be setting up a "how could she possible lose?" thing, then she does. Although, I think her edit is kind of similar to Jaslene's, except with far more outright praise.
