My guess is that Panama was ranked so low because it was used 3 times.

Thailand was ROBBED. Chuay Gahn had the best camp ever, the cave created such a dramatic atmosphere. The island itself was also beautiful, with those epic
limestone formations.

I thought Borneo was beautiful. They need to bring back the mud pits.

I liked Thailand's locale too. It must have been rated low because the season isn't that well received. I'd like to see Borneo out soon.

I'll be doing three a day up until the final three, where it'll be down to one a day. So this will last about a week.

It seems like people forget that this is not a season ranking. Thailand was one of the greatest locations used on Survivor and I have to agree that the Chuay
Ghan camp was the most spectacular.
Guatemala didn't work for me. Had they not had the Mayan ruins around, it would have been like an average forest which could be seen almost anywhere. |

The stupid things one reads on these boards. If Egypt didn't have the pyramids and the Sphinx, it would just be an average desert also!!!!! |

Borneo should have been dead last in this poll. Aside from some snakes and a gazillion rats running around the Island, the location was the least distinguished of any region used on USA Survivor.I see where you're coming from, but I kind of disagree. The advantage Borneo, specifically Pulau Tiga had (and one of the reasons it was selected as the show's first location) was just the overall atmosphere: an island in the middle of nowhere. Literally, there was nothing else. The island was pretty small too. It just had that sense of being stranded on an island, while places like Marquesas or Fiji had tribes living on a tiny beach of a gigantic island they didn't even come close to fully exploring. |

Fiji was pretty bad, but probably didn't deserve bottom last.
Panama was the most miserable location ever. It was always cloudy and grey, rainy and dreary. Hardly a "beautiful sunny island." Thailand did NOT deserve to be out this early. It should at least beat Borneo (uninteresting now) and definitely Marqueses (the location sucked, even Jeff admits it) |

China had the culture factor, and you just can't beat that.

A lot of times the culture isn't explored though.
