Yet Margie & Luke are doing the same, and it's something to be hated for? Give me a break. I think Margie & Luke have been very nice people and a refreshing change from the typical culturally insensitive teams. They work together well, and even though they hit some snags, they regroup quickly enough to put their minds back on the game. That's pretty impressive of them. But why have they only taken first or fourth so far? That's . . . pretty odd.

That's not true, since a) Ken/Tina got noticeably more screentime (and were almost always the focus on the promos) b) there was mostly just mild indifference to Nick/Starr from most people (as there was to pretty much everyone except Terrence/Sarah and Kelly/Christy) - there wasn't even a serious 'worst winners ever' thread as there has been for every season since TAR9 typical culturally insensitive teams They were the only team who seemed completely miserable at the thought of going to India.

They're capable racers and haven't experienced any handouts because of Luke's condition. Plus, they're not being over-edited as OTTP heroes but are being presented as good racers (not good people, which is a big difference). They're clearly better than bipolar bickering sisters, boring midget men, shrill fairy queen, boring Big Bird ex-cheerleader and a walking corpse. Sexy Asian and Demon Gingerbeast are pretty awesome though. And Luke telling Margie to leave the gingers behind when they couldn't find their cab was hilarious

Good point. If you want insensitive try Shana and Jennifer on season 12 when they were in Burkina Faso. Sure poverty sucks but they were the worst team to react to it. Rupert and Steph are two examples that come to mind. If a contestant is popular with mainstream viewers, they will undoubtedly be hated at Sucks. Sucksters tend to gravitate towards the skinny white chicks (the more useless the better).

It was interesting to see HER struggles and frustrations, with Luke and the race, and not Luke's struggles with everything else.
