I will never forget that particular Paula reaction. She's usually very over the top but it was just insane. I remember she was like dying. She was like
"OMG that voice" and she was like standing up and going crazy. It was hilarious but deserved imo, Carly's voice is killer.

Carly wanted to do "Jolene" but Brooke got it so she did "Here You Come Again" she said it was the last song on the list that hadn't been picked. I think Carly would have done well with "Jolene" but I think it would have been written off as angry and her picking the wrong song again or some other bullshit from the judges. HYCA was one of her stand outs and it was an absolutely beautiful vocal. Apparently her fans sent her the Simon Loves Me (This Week) t-shirt and she loved it, and also she said David Cook got one from his fans too that said Talk To Me Nerdy, lol.

Can we be realistic for a second though? Carly couldn't have possibly sucked on "Jolene" anymore than Brooke did. Hell at least Carly's angry
performance demeanor would have suited the song.
On another note at that EW Idolatry site if you go to the 3rd video down A Very Carly "Idolatry" it's fucking hilarious. They trashed Brooke, the judges and they talk about their hatred for Archuleta. |
