W/e I was only going to see Kristy in her USA bikini with sparklers. |

Season 2 they had personal meet and greets with the contestants...at least at the final show in Anahiem, as I was in the room.

Don't overpay for any tickets from brokers or online auctions. I promise you that a few days before or the day of each concert, excellent tickets will be
on sale or on E-bay.
Anyone who pays more than the original already too high price is a chump. The only exception might be the concerts in the home cities of Cook and Archie. That's it. The concerts are fun but remember 90% of the audience will be little girls. |

Just remember that the most you'll get is four songs from the winner/runner up. Plus all the tweens will be screaming "Marry,
me...Jason/Archie/Cookie." And you'll have to listen to Ramiele, Kristy and other losers. And people dressed as Poptarts will be giving away free
samples (actually the best part of the concert.) You'll lose any pretense you ever had to being "cool"(not that anyone who watches AI could even
pretend to be cool though.) Guarantees- the rest of the summer will consist of people measuring the crowd responses to Archie/Cook. Who got the most applause?
etc. It'll be quite retarded.

This is the first year I'm going to the tour. I usually hate too many of the contestants to ever want to go. That's no different this year, but I like
Cook and Jason too much to resist...

I have been going for six years, and nobody ever gets to have any personal meet and greets with the contestants, which is kinda dumb.Yeah they don't have meet and greets but if you're stalkerish and hang around before/after the concerts you can usually meet them for a bit and take pics and stuff, depending on venue. It's easy at any places where the buses don't park underground. The Idols will come out when the buses arrive (apparently around 1:30 in the day) and meet with fans for a bit. opendoor I don't think any us of us give a shit if this is cool or uncool. We just want to see see our favo contestants sing live. For anyone whose never been it's actually quite enjoyable. I haven't been since Season 3 so they've changed up the format since then but when I did go in Season 3 even people who I didn't enjoy on the show were tolerable and even in some cases enjoyable at the concert. For example it was the only time I never wanted to kill Mantasia. |

I went season 5--took the kids and my Mom and bought floor tickets late at $200/per, yikes. I was going to go this year with my cousin, who ends up being on
vacation all of the dates we could go. So this morning I was going to buy 2 tickets for any of the 5 shows I could make, but thought about all of the
screaming girls and how it ruined the show so much. Later on I asked my younger son if he would go and be my date (my husband having turned me down, btw,) and
he said he would but didn't want to be my date. (Cutie.) But there aren't any good seats left. I may still
try to get tickets as we get closer to August. But I'm really turned off by the memory of the incessant screaming. So rude. Don't know what I'll
do yet.

They actually have had meet and greets for each season. Generally speaking the only way to win the passes is through radio stations giving them away or knowing
the contestants.

But I'm really turned off by the memory of the incessant screaming. So rude At one point this morning, ticketmaster gave me center floor seats, 13th row. Pretty damn good, but I started thinking about the screaming fans and the signs, and decided I'd rather sit on the lower level on the side. |

Lower level on the side ftw!
It's a good option if you want to see the show from a good view and avoid the fantard pit of hell. |

Floor seats are only good if you score really close ones and you're willing to endure all the screaming girls.

Lower level on the side ftw!I got lucky twice. I bought floor seats and immediately had buyer's remorse thinking that I didn't want to stand among screamers. So I bought 2 lower bowl tix for the Schott in Columbus, Ohio, then went to stubhub . com and just found I've made a profit on the floor seats I sold. Whew! I've never been to the tour before and I assume they mix solos with group numbers and duets. How long is the average show? Michael |

They aren't touring anywhere near me... Damn. I really wanted to see David Cook live.

I just checked tickets again and it looks like they just released some more good seats. Better than a lot I was getting on Saturday morning.
