Kady is "colorful" (mostly not in a good way, but colorful nontheless) besides having a potentially very good voice. I'm not saying she WILL succeed, just that she has the same 1% or so chance of getting signed by somebody as the other semifinalists. I would be surprised if she has a real recording career, but not shocked. Celena Rae's modest success (and the advantage of being a country singer on Idol) can be put into some perspective by the fact that Vonzell, Anthony and Scott finished 3rd-5th that year and never got signed, but a so-so country singer eliminated in the second week of the semis DID. I doubt if 19Evil LOST money on Taylor. His CD sold 700,000 copies. Even for a top-heavy, money wasting corporation like them, that has to be well above the break even point. I didn't see a huge amount of billboards, full page ads IN Billboard, TV commercials, etc. for Taylor's CD, just the usual stuff. And the CD itself was recorded quickly.They just didn't make VERY MUCH money on him, which was enough to get them pissed off.
