I'm glad the ratings for the premiere were down 26% from last year's premiere. It's a positive sign and hopefully just another big step in the road of cancellation.

Whoever wrote this is a moron.

1. ABC won't cancel this show because it already has a set end date. As long as the ratings don't bottom out to less than 4 million viewers or so, ABC has nothing to lose by keeping it on and more to lose by ending it before that date (the wrath of critics and viewers who have been waiting for the end). Plus the show makes so much in DVD sales.

2. I'm endlessly amused by people who post online awaiting the cancellation of the show. Stop watching it and writing about it if you dislike it so much that you're awaiting cancellation. It's one thing to not like the storyline and to complain about it but to watch it anyway for whatever reason. It's another to actively be hoping for it to be cancelled. The latter implies a lack of life if one is watching a show they hate that much.

Surprisingly enough, I actually saw an interview on tv a few weeks ago where the producers talked about how they send out the script of the last few minutes of every finale to certain actors only and name that script something unusual so no one can figure what will happen in those few minutes. Last year they named the script the frozen donkey wheel because they thought it would be so absurd that no one would think it actually was about a frozen donkey wheel.
