I'm a long-time lurker here, but had to jump on and give my total support for DC. He is the total package as a performer (and not bad looking either)! he
performs rings around Archie (who makes me want to vomit every time I see and hear him). One question about the finale- how many songs to they sing. I
can't for the life of me remember from past finales. I know they sing the winning song from that crappy song writer competition, but do they sing anything
new, or do they do their best performances from the season? If they do a past performance, what do you think DC would choose? I would hope for Billie Jean as
I think that was his absolute best.

Love all the new Cook avis. I agree with everyone else seaguy, the omg one is better than the other. They are both nice though.
I hope he sings something he hasn't sung in a while for his reprise song. I hate when they do the one they did for like Top 3 week or some shit like Diana did DCOL again or Kat did SOTR again. I doubt Cook would do either of his Top 3 songs again though the very next week, he's smarter than that. I predict "Billie Jean" for him because I don't think they reprise semis stuff. I hope the coronation song is "No Turning Back." Unless the Archuleta campaign to vote for the worst song for Cook worked out or the producers just choose whatever one they want I think NTB would have won the popular vote. I kind of sighed when I read that Archuleta won the coin toss but so many patterns and "curses" have been broken this season and last that I just don't care. Besides maybe S7 is setting up a new pattern, if the finale features 2 males the one who performs 1st will win. |

Thanks Mrs. F. I'm guessing he'll sing Always Be My Baby (Randy's favorite and he sang it at home last week) or Billie Jean (Simon's favorite).

I wonder if I can plan it so that my 14000th post falls on finale night and I can save it for after the show. I can either celebrate Cookie's win with it

I'm not too worried about the coin toss. I think it's mostly coincidence that the person ('cept Ruben) who goes last wins. Does anyone really think
Bo or Kat or Blake would have won if they had gone last? Besides, Cookie already broke at least one curse this season, so he can surely do it again.
As for the reprise song, I'm guessing he'll sing either Billie Jean or ABMB. I'm hoping for Billie Jean though. And yeah, I definitely don't want to hear anything from the past couple weeks. BTW, JoesPlace from IDF said that they're singing TWO reprisal songs. I don't know if that's "spoiler" info or just spec based on seasons past? Seasons 3 and 5 they did that, right? |

So today I made my husband watch Fantasia's scariness from last night on youtube. One thing lead to another, and I started to show him some of DC's
performances. He actually started clicking on more songs. Really liked him, thought he had a great voice. While he will never be a Cooktard, he's on
board for DC to win it and will probably watch the finale. We usually have almost completely different tastes in music. DC, the great uniter. Wonder what
I'll have to do to get him to do some voting.)

I watched David Cook's homecoming video again because I had missed what Randy said after the video about DC's 2nd song.
The part where Ryan says to David's brother - "so, we'll see you next year", then David's mother shakes her head and mouths "no, you won't" - so cute! |
