Apparently, they got into a cab out of the airport in Italy, which cost them about 3 hours. (This confuses me, because as we saw it, the teams just had to get from the airport to the train station on foot. How they got 3 hours behind doesnt compute for me!) They also say they were at the Pit Stop thirty minutes before Christie & Jodi, but didnt have any money left to pay their cab driver, so they couldn't check in. This at least explains why they weren't hustling to beat the ladies to the mat. They knew it wouldn't matter. Oh, well.
