Yes, Radzinski told Chang something like "you should be at the Swan site. They should be starting in 20 minutes" or something like that...One could
argue that it wasn't yet a Dharma station as it wasn't built yet....I could care less, I put 2.
I think Jack did give instructions. When the Hostiles had them in the tent, they hit Kate and he said, "take it easy on her" |

Yeah I felt Jack gave instructions too.

Yeah, Kate cost me a lot of points tonight too.
The "I can't", the causing Sayid kill someone.... and why couldn't she have just said "Follow the leader, Ben, we're going to the Orchid," kissed Jack and Sawyer, and taken off her shoes??? Heck, did I get anything right????????? |

I think Jack did give instructions. When the Hostiles had them in the tent, they hit Kate and he said, "take it easy on her"That doesn't sound like instructions to me. I took the question to mean would Jack give orders.. like tell someone to do this or do that. |

Ugh. I'd need another example. That doesn't sound like instructions or an order. It was more like a plea. "Don't fucking hit her again"
would fit better. ;)

To me, that line is very similar to the example SS gave. The example in the question was "Do this." He said, "take it easy on her."
Grammatically, they both have the exact same structure. They're both commands where the subject is 'you.'

Oh ffs. I'll let SS decide on that one.

I think Jack's line to the hostile was an instruction. When I heard it, I immediately thought it qualified.

Me too. Sounded instructiony to me.

Hmm. Guess my idea of an instruction is different from.. everyone else's.

Well, "take" is an action verb so it means some kind of action is being demanded. Seems like an instruction to me.

When I heard Jack telling the Hostiles to leave Kate alone or whatever it was, I also thought it was an order. I can't remember what I answered for that one right now. I think I said no. Just like someone else said, Kate effed everything up for everyone this week. I was almost excited when I thought she got shot in the back. I don't think I did very well this week .... much like most other weeks this season. I hope we get a super long quiz next week for the finale. The joy of it has to last us a long time. |

HEY I had fun my first quiz. And thanks for the welcomes and kudos. This is my first time to have a cool avi. Even though I've been around lurking since Season 1 and 2, posting since season 3, I don't "post" often. As my count would suggest. |

And not to cause a fruckus, but being an English teacher, I took Jack's statement to the hostiles as being a "command" or telling them what to do
cause I was also saying "Woo Hoo I got one right!!!"

Make sure you play with us next season, ok? You'll enjoy the debates. Maybe.

CWR, didn't you find your Lost watching experience enhanced after taking the quiz? I know it makes it fun for me. Just watching to see what I got wrong
& also predicting which ones will get debated to a bloody pulp. WooHoo - Good Times!

I didn't see that as a command either but I can see where some might see it that way.

It's funy, I hear Jack give an instruction to Kate probably right before or after that.... something like "you have to stay" or "you
can't go back" or something to that effect. I got excited when he said it, it's why I remember.
