From my research, I believe this is a North American Burrowing Owl.
It is found all over North America, has the taxonomy Athene cunicularia. Here's some wiki info on it, maybe we'll be able to figure this out. The Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) is a small, long-legged owl found throughout open landscapes of North and South America. Burrowing owls can be found in grasslands, rangelands, agricultural areas, deserts, or any other dry, open area with low vegetation[1]. They nest and roost in burrows, such as those excavated by prairie dogs (Cynomys spp.). Unlike most owls, burrowing owls are often active during the day, although they tend to avoid the mid-day heat. Most hunting is still done from dusk until dawn, when their owl apomorphies are most advantageous. The lyrics are also similar to the CSI theme song, or very similar to it, so CSI... Candace, Carolina, Sandy, Spencer, Sierra, Stephen....but then I don't know where the "I" could come from.

Main star on CSI is Catherine Willow...CW....Coach Wade? ETA: Sandy's profile on CBS clearly states she is a "Night Owl," just as these birds
are. Hmm.

There's a different kind of burrowing owl in South America (and
supposedly south Florida, go figure) than the North American one, but yeah. They go around in the daylight, and tend to walk or hop on the ground, not stay in
trees or swoop.
Athene is the genus name for all owls (goddess of wisdom). In portuguese it's Coruja-do-campo (field owl, I guess, since it lives in grassland rather than woodland) or Coruja-buraqueira (burrowing owl? I'm not sure how that translates). I dunno what any of that has to do with Survivor.. |

Let me nip this in the bud.
Not a riddle. Not a clue. Just twisted humor. |
