i agree. according to all the news sources, nothing happened yesterday except the miracle on the hudson.
sully is a true hero/skilled pilot of the highest order but they are going to hound the poor guy into oblivion. his wife refused to speak with media so far, thank goodness. he will have to talk or they will harrass him. |

I'm finding it hard to beleive that nobody has come forward a cell phone video of the actual landing.
KaChing for the person who does. |

factoryhurl wrote:I wanna know where the first officer is in all this. Yes, Sully was the one who landed this thing, but there's no way this is such a miracle if he has to run the whole operation by himself. I mean, do we even know his name for christ sakes? Come to think of it, now that dude has probably seen how much the media has orgasmed over Sully, he's probably counting his lucky stars that he won't be hounded the same way. |

I work in TV and am still wondering why this is getting the 24/7 treatment. There are more important things we should be covering besides Jesus Sullenberg III.

Has anyone yet expressed how happy they were this happened? I FUCKING hate US Airways. I hope this pushes them off the cliff and out of business FOREVER. I was
always hoping some disaster will happen to them. I am glad the passengers are safe though

Highly unlikely. Since it wasn't airline negligence like ValuJet crash in the Everglades or the Air Florida crash in the icy Potomac, US Airways will
likely profit from the praise one of their pilots is receiving for the way he handled this potential tragedy.

yeah, hard to see how this is bad for them when it was the fault of birds and the pilot rocked the landing, unless something shocking comes out of the
investigation of it.

Wow, that video of the plane landing is insane, the pilot just sails right in and touches down on the river...incredible.

They have been interviewing some of the passengers and they talk as if they didn't think they were going to survive the landing. I can't imagine what a
roller coaster of emotions that must have been.

And apparently the FO's name was Jeffrey Skiles, age 49. |
