From SurvivorFever.net
Here is a little bit of information on Ben Wade...Posted in the Lassen County Times...Courtesy of SurvivorFever.net Wade returned the same day as the first symphony concert of the season in its new location, the Susanville Assembly of God. "I never saw the music. I can get super focused, and when I got to Susanville I was still focused on Brazil. It was a miracle the concert was so good considering my severely different state," said Wade, who can't say enough about the orchestra and its willingness to let him conduct with no previous practices. The December Christmas concert was the talk of the town for several weeks because it was obvious to everyone that Wade went through a significant ordeal. "One of the older ladies in the front row said, 'That's not Ben … Where's Ben?' and that explains everything said Wade, who admitted he lost 45 pounds from an already physically fit body. Wade appeared haggard, tired and unwell. He said he has gained the weight back and is back to his old self.

Signs of meth use. He lands in the final four, gets the boot, and smokes it up!

"when I got to Susanville I was still focused on Brazil."
Definitely a top 4 finisher, weight loss aside. Someone who was voted off several days before going home would have time to think things through and put it behind them to focus on seeing their family In fact, I'd bet on final 2/3. If the symphony (12/12) was the day they got home, then filming wrapped 12/11 (day 39 is always a Thursday). With the small amount of time between wrapping filming and going home and heading straight from the airport to the symphony, he wouldn't have time to shave his beard which explains why its still present in that photo

How he gets to the Final 2/3 will be interesting. Will he do as he says and align with the strongest competitors? If so, who on Timbira do you think fits
that description? I can also see why Jeff said he liked this season if the ruling alliance is made up of strong, athletic people.
Of course, it could the opposite. Ben's alliance of the strong could be foiled but he goes on an immunity run and makes a come-from-the-behind spot in the finals. |

when I got to Susanville I was still focused on BrazilYeah, definitely sounds like late in the game, but sure could be late jury, not a finalist. Sucks for all those musicians who were focused on their concert, and the concert master or whoever actually did the coaching and preparation. |

I'd agree Probst likes strong athletic people/men. But I don't think it would make for a "good" season if a handful of strong people get together from the start and run the table. We viewers have too much inclination to root for the underdog, and I think that would come off as bullying, even if they were really just being successful at competition. A "better" season might be two strength-based alliances, with lots of good clean head-to-head contests. An immunity run, like you say, can be dramatic and engaging. We don't like Ben's attitude now, but hey, it ain't bragging if it's true. We could be won over by his demonstrated superiority. However, Probst has already said Joe "is going to be compared to Colby". Maybe he just meant in likeability, but to me Colby also suggests immunity run. |

I thought Probst was just talking about Joe being the dark, handsome, well-rounded guy like Colby was.
Yeah, we can't do anything but wait for more clues or (bite my tongue) when the show opens! |

IMO you can count on it that Ben and Jerry form an alliance. I'll be the first to call it the "Ice Cream Alliance".

Yeah, I am definitely thinking that Ben and Jerry might be an alliance, just based on the fact that "strong guys" are likely to stick together.
Oh my gosh, it's hard to write that with a straight face. Ben and Jerry. Haha. And honestly, the only Timbira woman I see those two bonding with is Debra. ETA: 2121, baby! |

Erinn mentioned wanting to align with Ben in her interview with realityblurred, so you never know..

Yeah, I could see a Ben/Jerry/Debra/Erinn alliance for sure. I wouldn't mind it.
