so far, except to act as a catalyst to keep Paula from showing up stoned at the auditions.

So apparently Ms. DioGuardi has a webisode series going now. This here is the first episode.
Besides being her usual sensual self, her and the guitarist (Jason somebody or other) actually deliever a (in my opinion) great song. And I'm not just saying this because I love the woman. It is tremendously well written and I think Kara's voice outshines over any contestant who has auditioned thus far here. They start performing at 1:48 - check it out. Color me wishy-washy on this one. Never before has such legit on-going drama existed between contestant and judge. Simon doesn't remember half of the peeps
he hates. Kara has gone out of her way to call Katrina out time and time again- she even did it on Regis!

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger uproar over her and Simon's "exchange" last night... I personally enjoyed the bejesus out of it.
Honestly, (and I love the woman) Kara was clearly brought in to truly be the villain... Simon had easily become the most popular judge and they wanted the audience to truly have someone to dislike. Is Kara full of herself and a tad bit holier thou? Yea, I'd say so. But she also is the most legit judge up there, which in turn, gives those who can't stand her more incentive to rebel. The genius in this whole thing was, no one is turning away from the show because of her though... I'd say the plan is working pretty well. Oh, and she has looked incredible for two weeks running on the live shows. |

On top of looking outstanding, she and Simon had (one of) the best moments of the nights when Simon egged her on to use "chops" in judging
someone's performance.
