This is the first time I remember Probst saying his fire represents life speech like he'd said it a million times before--like a flight attendant repeating something everyone knows but has to be said anyway. I loved that. Really it was stranger in the last several seasons when he said it as if people were hearing it for the first time.

Also, did anyone else notice that when Probst said "16 castaways, 39 days, 1 survivor" from the back of the truck, none of the contestants were looking at him? They were riding along bored and uncomfortable as if he'd been cut and pasted in. They must have either told them not to pay attention, or done so many takes the novelty wore off.

I liked JT, Sandy, and Coach way more than I expected to.
