Basically, it states that before they say any words to each other or formally introduce themselves, each tribe gets rid of someone. However, the press release goes on to say "What will be their fate? Will they have a chance to get back into a game, or are they gone forever?". Basically this implies that the two people "voted out" don't leave the game and might even get immunity or something as a result. Besides, after watching all of the videos, people have determined that the group getting off that truck in the marooning only has 16 people, and there are 16 people at the first immunity challenge on day 3. So no, the two people "voted out" don't leave the game.

I don`t understand why everyone is saying that the press release says two people get voted off. All it says is that the tribes have to elect someone that will not accompany the rest of the tribe initially. What happens to them after that is unknown, maybe they go to exile, maybe they switch teams, who knows.
