I do think Exile Island with no Idol would be interesting, though. Probst once said the most important thing about it was that you missed out on camp life (and you did; two whole days of strategy usually). However, being out of the loop doesn't matter if people are too scared to vote for you for fear of the Idol. I'd like to see that dynamic come back and be more important.

Other than that it's just some people bitching and moaning about how terrible it is that they're getting soaked. I think the only way to keep Exile interesting is to sentence each person that receives votes at TC (but doesn't get snuffed) to a number of days on EI equivalent to the number of votes they received. This allows pre-merge pre-swap mingling between tribes, hence more strategy.

Bob got tripped up because he thought he was actually going to get another clue. And the whole dilemna aspect of clue vs comfort went away, since Sugar followed the directions first time out. So I'd like to see it more like Cook Islands, where each time you go you get more information. But the rock would be good, too - Adumb laying face down in the sand was pretty good...
