Survivor 18: Brazil |
Lead | |
|
Alton Desiree (whose name appeared in memory of at the end of the episode tonight) died in Brazil working for Survivor production. Hence, S18 is somewhere in
Brazil. Discuss!

I'm guessing it's in Brazil's Pantanal. It's the world's largest wetland area--over 10x the size of the everglades. Should be interesting.

Yay, I loved Amazon. Maybe we can finally get a leopard attack. CBS can trick casual viewers with the Season Name just like they did with "Panama,"
"All-Stars," and "Micronesia."

So we can expect them to go back to basically all the locations similar to seasons 1-7.... |

i've got a feeling that season 19 will be Survivor: New Zealand. If not, then possibly India.

So we've already had Pearl Islands 2, Pearl Islands 3, Palau 2, and Africa 2. Now Amazon 2? They must really have no other choices.

Id much prefer they go to africa and brazil again over the thousands of islands in the south pacific, yawn.

I hope the terrain is not too similar to Gabon.

Survivor Crew Member Alton Desiree Drowns in Brazil
Posted on:
Alton Desiree, a crew member of the reality show Survivor, has drowned in Brazil. Desiree left his home in Loubiere, Dominica for Brazil on September 9th for his assignment on the reality series. Although details are sketchy, Desiree had apparently been instructed to go underwater to fix something for the show. When he didn't resurface, another crew member went underwater to search for him. When he could not be located, a female crew member from Australia telephoned Desiree's wife Susa, to inform her that her husband was missing. The woman called a second time about an hour and a half later to inform Susa that her husband had been found dead. No further details are available at this time. |

if you watch the video on cbs.com of jeff answering "your questions" he talks about how the producers choose locations. he says that they need to
find an area that can hold 3-4 base camps, one of which needs to accommodate 400 crew members. he also states that they need to find a government that will
allow them to bring everything in, and use the land. he says if they looked to just go to any beautiful place they could, they'd have tons and tons of
options. so it doesn't surprise me that they've had to kind of reuse some locations. i wouldn't be too surprised to see a survivor:samoa coming up
(kind of like marquesas).

Yay! I'm so excited! Brazil is diverse enough in terms of terrain that they can go to about 15 places I can name off the top of my head and it won't
look like the Amazon at all.

You hear someone dies and you use that as a way to spoil a season, and then further say that you hope a leopard malls someone? classy. You do realize that the person who found the location spoiler was not the same person who said they hope a leopard mauls someone, right? Anyway, it'd be cool to have another inland season. Let's see what happens. |

Poody is a trolling asshole who just loves to quote my posts and make snarky posts. I don't know what started it and why, but I've learned to put up
with him.
Obviously, my condolences are with the Desiree family. I wish them well |

Sorry, I just didn't think it was appropriate to hope for someoen being malled by a leopard in light of the recent death of a crew member.
And bitch, I don't have to troll you, you are EVERYWHERE. Believe me if I could do away with you for good, I would not hesitate and I'm sure everyone would thank me for it. |

Sorry, but this isn't the Alton Desiree topic, as mean as that sounds. He already has one here and another in LTS. This is the Survivor Brazil topic, and I
will say what I want to.
Thank God we can't edit in this forum... Your death threat WILL be reported to Yuku. |

It's nice to know next season's location so early, but honestly, I would have rather waited until the finale reveal than find out through someone's
death. I'll keep him and his family in my prayers, and at the same time, I'm looking forward to Brazil. I'm sure it will be a stunningly
beautiful location.
