I agree, it looks as though he's gained weight. Then again, do we have any proof of when the pics were taken? And about the post-game weight rebound, Yul
Kwon gained his weight back and then some soon after the show ended, because he did nothing but stay home and eat for at least a week.

That is, after filming ended, not the broadcast.

This thread is for CAST SPOILERS ONLY... get a brain cell or two, I only want to know who's gonna play the game, not how long they last.

There is that post-starvation bloating thing. Remember how chubby cheeked Ozzy was at the Cook Islands reunion? But yeah, doesn't much suggest that he is
recently returned from six weeks in the backwoods...

So how much weight did she lose?

Understandably, she didn't care for it at first. But she has a good sense of humor so it doesn't seem to bother her anymore. It's definitely turning into a term of endearment. Same thing happened to "Boomie" (for Jennifer Hudson.) |

Then again, do we have any proof of when the pics were taken? No, but I can tell you that the first two were posted Dec. 28 (it was from a family Christmas thing), the middle one was posted sometime around August 4 (an Oregon summer roadtrip), and the last four were posted June 28th (a family wedding (lol)). So unless they waited a while to post them, that's the best guess/estimate that we'll have. I'd put it at 97% accurate. |

Jokersupdates has someone saying this guy is on. He is a college women's soccer coach, for Southwest Baptist University. His name is Ben Wade.

Yeah, wait for evidence of attention-whoring before turning on the flames.
Interesting that we're seeing 3 potential applicants involved with schools. The cast definitely has a very different vibe so far, but we also haven't seen any of the late-20s demographic that tends to make up the biggest chunk of it. |

But there may be a difference, Sam Buru. Gabon was a fairly temperet location - comparable to Florida according to the reporter from Reality Blurred - and Tocantins sounds like one of the most vicious. The boiling sun should be very slimming and I'd reason the bone chilling down pours will put a stress on their body that will result in some further calorie burning/weight loss on top of that. |

Yeah, I think what he said is that he made a point early in the game of going off and gathering food just to eat himself, then sharing in the tribe's food.
Would have maybe changed some of our thinking if the editors had shown us that. Bob was a little more calculating a player from the beginning, and that the
Onions were already sowing the seeds of their downfall, by underestimating him and just assuming he was off doing some crazy, irrelevant, Bob thing.
On the other hand, Susie lost a lot (for her size). So no weight change doesn't necessarily mean someone wasn't on the show or didn't last very long. But a large weight loss could help back up other spoiler info. It's also info that friends of contestants/potential contestants are often willing to share, I guess because it is something publicly visible, not any sort of personal info. I hope MB and them didn't decide to do some sort of teachers vs students thing with the lower age limit! I think maybe they just decided teachers are good participants, with Bob and that high school soccer coach who won Mole last summer. Both seemed to be popular with viewers, and seemed to bring some of their teacher skills to bear in interacting with other (younger) contestants. It is a little interesting that what we have so far are people in less traditional gender roles - most teachers are women, most administrators still are men. |

I'm at work so I can't share much but I was over at Skills and it turns out that Benjamin Wade is the conductor for the Susanville Symphony.
Coincidentally, Patrick Orr played Sax for the Susanville Symphony. So, soccer coach Ben Wade is the conductor that Patrick was referring to not Carlin. The
Susanville Symphony had no dates for performances during Tocantins filming. Ben Wade is also an expert kayaker and he and his brother Pete together actually
have an entry in Wikipedia as The Wade Brothers. If Ben is on the show, I wouldn't be surprised if he does very well. Got to Skills or the Wikipedia page
for more info. Sorry if this info is also in the Joker's reference, but I can't access that site from here.
