Charlie, do you think your lack of character development was due to you smuggling in extra boxers with you and it was your punishment?

Ok I'm still somewhat starstruck (I started reading this thread like 1/2 hour ago). Charlie, I gotta say after watching just a few minutes of you on the
show, I just thought "I love this guy", so lovable and endearing. (((((HUG)))). Ok if you met me in person, you wouldn't know it was me because
I'm not really like this in person, I just had to let you know how amazing you are.

By the way, your posting in LTS isn't worth a dime and doesn't prove anything. It's the equivalent of Obama appearing on The View -
dropping in to say "Hi" only in a place where he knows he's safe.
Anyhow, 9th place isn't shabby. And your use of Randy of Corrine in the game was pretty good. You'd have beaten either of them side-by-side in a final jury vote, and possibly Marcus as well. Though I'm assuming you'd quit at the F4 so that Marcus could win, or something to that effect. Word. |

I actually want Corinne to post here. I guess I am the only one who really enjoyed her final tribal council speech to Sugar...

And she had really crossed and hurt some of the people who i was close with. I am a very loyal friend and given that Crystal didn't come off as a nice person at tribal, I didn't feel bad keeping my distance from her. But there was no need to give her the silent treatment and I realized that soon after she arrived and I was perfectly friendly with her. I actually really liked Crystal from the little I hung out with her at the finale--we laughed about how she petrified me with her frightening stare. I regret being unfriendly to her for her first day at Ponderosa--but one thing I learned from Survivor is that simply saying sorry does not make our past mistakes go away. So, I take it as a life lesson and try to be a better a person. Crystal and Kenny were very excited to talk about the game at Ponderosa. My head had spun in circles for over 30 days thinking about the game...and by the time Kenny and Crystal arrived at Ponderosa, I was more interested in talking about life, family, movies, books, etc. than the dynamics in the game for my own sanity...so, I never engaged Kenny or Crystal in a conversation about the game at Ponderosa because it seemed very negative at that time to me. I wanted to focuse on the positive aspects of the experience as we transitioned back to real life. So, I spent my days running with Marcus and Corinne, watching movies, swimming and avoiding rehashing the game. It was time to move on for me! I understood their desire to talk about the game and it definitely made sense since they made it so far and everyone comes out of the game in their own way...I just didn't want to be a part of that for my own mental health:) |

Charlie, as someone said earlier, you coming here isn't really worth anything until you post in sucks.
Now that's out of the way, while I hated most of your alliance members, I kind of liked you. Any particular reason that the other onions seemed to come off so self-righteous and bitter and interviews while you seemed normal? Also, it seemed like the other onions would have committed suicide if the F3 was Sugar, Susie, and Crystal. What do you think would have happened if that was the case? Why was there so much bitterness towards the three of them and not anyone else? |

Good post. Glad you came to your senses and was nice to Crystal after that first day at Ponderosa. But until then, when I saw your Ponderosa comment about being worried about upsetting Corinne and Marcus if you were civil to her, despite knowing how childish it was, I couldn't believe it. So I'm glad that you got over that crap. I saw that Randy eventually too spoke to her. My question is this: after seeing the show, and seeing all the venom that Corinne was spewing forth about so many people, the absolute hate she had for anyone she didn't like - did that change your opinion of her? You said that you're a very loyal friend, and tht's great - so am I, but I just would not choose to be around anyone with that much negativity. Second question - Marcus came off as being very entitled, smug and well... not very likeable. I know all about negative edits etc, but he seems to be very condescending, and further, he seems to have no clue about it. (Probably, a lot of it was from hanging out with someone so vile as Corinne). Did you see that about him at all? Thanks in advance. Wish you'd gone further in the game. |

Heh, that's a good story. Makes sense that they wouldn't look any further once they'd found some contraband! Ace's look might have been more
one of "I like the fact that he's sneaky - maybe I should form a secret alliance with him"?
Charlie, look up - please answer my post above your last one. |

How was Susie on the second Kota? Was she really as annoying as Corinne and Randy said? Because she seemed pretty quiet (if not totally invisible) on the
screen.

LOL Good answer. I actually thought of doing the same exact thing if I were ever on the show.
Were you like at the top of your law class? I mean you graduated in '07 and then got a job at one of the most well known law firms in the US, so I think that is pretty telling for your intelligence. Did you ever come across Dan Kay when you lived in Boston? Where did you actually live around? We could have crossed paths once! |
