Drama is high school, so no need for the fixing babe.

So there is no America's vote, except for the last 2 spots in the final 16?
But this appears to be happening real time, in that they are filming week to week and running the episode at the end of the week. Or has this show already wrapped filming? I really enjoyed the real time drama last season that was caught with Perry's girlfriend and Ben's wife. I would assume that this is the stuff models will deal with as they gain success, so why not capture it through this process as well. |

Well they had a lot of different photoshoots on the season preview, so I would think it's mostly done filming.

Yea, it's already been filmed so there's no America voting I think. (GOOD!)

I wonder if it's more expensive to shoot in real time. I'm almost certain it's more difficult. Even though I agree with last season's winner I am in favour of no audience voting. It ends up being a popularity contest with public voting. |

I agree CD. The last thing that America should be voting on is who's the best fashion model. It has more to do with measurements and how photogenic the
person is than whether or not we like them or their "message". Many very successful models are complete assholes and you'd never know it.

I think the challenge prize of a go-see is awesome. I also like them having Tyson and Nicole as mentors. I can't believe Salome actually said that she wanted to pick someone that she could beat in front of everyone and then chose CJ. Even if it's true, c'mon on now. Kerryn reminds me of Alana Zimmer. <3 Jonathan kind of reminds me of Halle's man. I might have to retract both of those after I get a better look.
I'm not going to begrudge anyone for being uncomfortable about being thrown into a "gay" photoshoot, but Branden is really going to have to work past that if he plans to be a model. And seriously, the girls in the girl/girl shoots sucked! Should have brought Steph and Jackie back to show them how it's done. I'm grateful that they got rid of Ken with his stocky-ass body. I actually think this group stands out more than last season (sadly the girls are kind of plain though). I think they have a higher success rate as well. It's only been one season but I think everyone from the first season have all signed on with major modeling companies. I think eight out of the original thirteen have all signed on with New York Model Management. IDK, a lot of the MMAS folks are signed but how many of them are working? It could just be that because of ANTM's bigger fanbase, more of the contestants' work gets posted but it doesn't really seem like any former MMAS contestants are doing significantly better than many ANTMers. Ronnie, Casey, Perry, Steph and Aryn just kind of seem to be sitting on NYM's boards. I only remember Ben walking in one show last season and haven't seen anything else from him either. Holly (who I never thought much of as a model) and Shannon (who I've always liked) probably get about same quality + amount of work -- if not less -- as the likes of Saleisha, Bianca, Chantal. Fatima is with New York Models too (so I can't even give them the benefit of the doubt that the agency isn't working harder for them), but has surpassed them and in a shorter time at that. ***
I don't know if anyone here has watched the Australian MMAS, but one of the bigger success stories came from that show: 18-year-old Shanina (NYM signed her too) who walked in a bunch of shows during NY
Fashion Week FW09 and is being considered for Victoria's Secret. She didn't win the show. |

My favorite right now is cute little Gabriel (although I think he needs to eat a sandwich). For the girls, it's Jordan. I'd like Sandhurst, too, but
I'm distracted by his deformed little ears...
** Oh, and Mountaha is absurdly fug. What would make a she-beast like that think that she could be a model?

As of now America cannot be trusted via votes so im glad they put the ban on that. the panel of judges are refreshing along with the elimination gimmick,
handing someones portfolio to them. Im glad ken got kicked to the curb because HIS CHIN WAS ABSURDLY BIG AND FUG , CHRIS IS FUG TOO.

I never watched the first season, but I randomly decided to watch the first season. Quite liked it, it's certainly much more about modeling than Next Top
Model. I do have one question, however: who the frak would name their daughter Salami?

Just watched the first episode.
Thank god Ken is gone. His face was so messed up. I do really like Colin right now and I thought he looked very modelish on the runway. Oh and WTF at Shawn being 30 years old. That is WAY too old

-How come nobody is talking about Gabe getting a boner???...Even if it was while modeling with Salami.... -I can understand male models being a little more muscular for different designers, but c'mon, Ken did not have any definition in the abs...FAIL -Shawn is a little old to get starting out, but wasn't JP 30 years old when he got with JDMA? -Mountaha can look sooo different everytime she is on screen, but her confessionals look majorly FUG My Final 4 picks- Salami, Boner, Jordan, Straighty |

Isn't modeling more about how you look rather than how old you actually are? It's not as if they walk down the runway with their ages tattooed on their foreheads. |

Most successful models start when they are teens. Of course, many of them could pass for 30-40 years old in their teens.

Age is a lot more important in the female modeling world then the male modeling world.

Many of the most successful male models are in their 30's and they can keep doing high-end work into their 40's. |

^^^They also earn substantially less than females.
