Big Papi and Julio Lugo are also very unlucky.

Yey, Randy Johnson won his 300th game in a Giants uniform. Now back to my Giants being a .500 team

Sammy Sosa: Hall Of Famer or not? | ||
|
Chicago sports radio had a little fun yesterday with the question: Does Sammy Sosa deserve to go to the Hall Of Fame?
I say yes, even though I don't like the guy at all. However, despite rumors, speculation and innuendo from Chicago sportswriters and radio jocks, he's never been even remotely proven to have taken any Performance Enhancing Drugs at any time during his career. In the absence of proof that he cheated, corked bats aside, you have to consider his career by the numbers, and the numbers say he's one of the greatest power hitters to ever play the game. He's also the only guy to have hit 60 or more homers in a season 3 times. Suspicion or not, likeable or not, Sammy Sosa is a Hall Of Fame ballplayer. Put him in. |

Sosa didn't take steriods, BD. Or at least was never proven to have taken them, and he hasn't been on any of those "user lists" that have
been floated by various sources. You're saying he's guilty by association, and that's not a fair thing. The numbers say he belongs there.
And Sosa >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> McGwire. |

Sosa can't be formally banned from the HOF because he's never been proven to take PHDs, but his actions are enough that no voter should vote for him.

CRA when exactly was it when Mark McGwire failed a steriod test? Sosa and McGwire are in the same boat. Everyone knows they did it. Neither will sniff the
hall.

Yea Sosa was dirty. No doubt in my mind. Then again, it wasn't against the rules at the time either so....

like twista said, Sosa and Big Mac are in the same boat. If you vote one in, you have to vote the other in. Neither gets my vote.
congrats to Unit on #300

What about debating ARod? If/when he breaks Bonds all time record does he get a pass?

No. He inserted himself in Madonna so he's not eligible for the HOF.

I wouldn't let Bonds or Clemens in either, but it's a little harder to leave them out than it is to leave McGwire or Sosa out since they were HOFers
before they took steroids.
