There's been countless contestants on Star Search. Jessica from season 4 was on it too, and I think Nadia was. Baiscally, you can just name five random AI
contestants from any season and odds are that one of 'em was on Star Search.

I don't hate David, but I think he may be the biggest "plant" of all.
He met with industry/label executives connected to Idol after he won Star Search. They have had an interest in him since he was 12 years old. They had every intention of signing him and there really isn't a better or more inexpensive way to market David than through the Idol machine. (Especially now that kid acts are big business.) discuss.... |

I'd be shocked if that were the case...they really think he's marketable? Yeah, he's cute and nice and all, but so was freakin' Will Makar and
they weren't getting behind him in any way. I just don't see this guy being huge and performing at the Grammys or anything.
