I can definitely see them being the first 5 out, not necessarily in that order but they seem like the 5 that will go barring an amazing showing from one of them or someone sucking hard of the other 5.

I love her. Not this week so much, but I do. She and Theo should be the final 2.

So I'm super late in watching the performances but I'm going to comment anyway.

Martin - I really liked his song choice and I thought he sang it well. I enjoyed it, I love the song and it was nice. You know who he sounds like though, Jim Cuddy from Blue Rodeo.

Mark - Oh my Christ, of course he had to pick the cheesiest, obvious Idol song ever and of course it's one original FaFu also sang. I wanted to rip my ears off listening to it and gouge my eyeballs out looking at him. Who the fuck is voting for this guy?

Mookie - There's lots of people saying they don't get the Mookie love, but I say what's not to get? The kid is fucking awesome. I love his voice, love his presence. I wanna see him hear in the end of the competition. I loved that.

Theo - As soon as I heard the song choice I was like omg, that's brilliant. I never considered a male doing this song before Theo chose and it now I'm just like, it works. I love Colbie and the song and I thought Theo did an excellent job. People will tire of his perceived perfection though, I agree with whoever said that.

Amberly - Strange song choice for her but I liked it. I liked the arrangement of the song and her voice is just killer. I could honestly listen to her sing all day long.

Marie-Pierre - Well she definitely went down fighting hard. I thought it was pretty decent, I would have given her a spot in the Top 10 over Drew, Adam or Mark for it at least. One thing I appreciate about the CI judges is they don't try and tell people who they are. Zack asked her why she chose the song and if she would have something like that on her record first and then commented. On AI I feel like they would just shoot her down and be like that's not you. I get annoyed when the judges try and tell someone that isn't who you are because who the fuck are they to know who someone is. Some songs definitely don't suit people's voices but I don't think the judges should ever say something like, that's not who you are musically or that's not the type of record you should be making because it's the person's job to figure out who they are.

Omar - For one thing I can't figure out why so many people are shocked that Omar is gone. Not that he isn't good but just look at it this way. The judges have basically given Canada a Top 24 full of folksy, artsy, indie, unique, quirky type singers, the kind they've gone gaga over basically every season they were given someone like that and you don't think they're going to gravitate toward them over the regular R&B dude, of course they are. Canada was given the choice to have more than one type like Theresa, or Carly Rae, or Josh Palmer and so on and so forth in the finals and that's what they wanted. Had a male R&B singer with Omar's talent been in another season he probably would have made the Top 10 easily. Back to the performance though, I couldn't get through the whole thing. I really wasn't that good and it was a strange song choice. He can sing but I didn't like it and he wasn't as good as last week.

Adam - I actually really liked it. WTF? Prior to seeing the performances when I heard Adam was Top 10 I was like why, now that I've watched his performance and heard it I understand. I thought it sounded really good.

Oliver - I got to see this one on TV and I liked it. I just love his voice. Two Pigotts weren't going to make it through on one night, if Oliver had been on Monday he'd be in the Top 10 for sure.

Earl - Earl haters be damned. Earl is awesome. I love his voice and I thought he did a great job. He should just never dance though.

Sebastian - If only one Pig could be in the Top 10 I'm glad it was him. I thought this performance was awesome and him going right after Oliver showed who the better Pig is, and the sexier one.

Mitch - I can actually see why people wouldn't like his voice. I can imagine it being unpleasant to listen to and whiny to some. I really liked the song choice for him though and I thought it was great. Glad he squeaked his way into the Top 10.

Katelyn - Best performance of the week as far as I'm concerned. I was never a fan of hers before she did this song but I thought it was killer. I loved it and I've watched the video over and over already. I thought she definitely should have gotten a Top 10 spot for it. Being female and from Manitoba killed her.

Katherine - I really like her. I said in her thread that I know nothing about music and technical singing, I just know what I like the sound of. I just enjoy listening to Katherine. I thought she sang well and I loved it.

Gary - I would have liked this better had he sung it straight the whole way. I still liked it, but it could have been a lot better. The obligatory contestant with the unique sound that the judges like to throw in the Top 24 and who right away becomes polarizing never makes the Top 10 though so no shock there. He's Nancy 3.0, Tyler Mullendore being Nancy 2.0. I would have liked to see him the Top 10 but he wouldn't have gone far anyway.

Drew - I just don't like Drew. It's obvious he can sing, I just don't like him. Also I'm on the "I Hate The Reason with a burning, firey passion" train. It's a piece of shit song by a piece of shit band so just picking that song alone loses him points.

Overall I loved the Top 24 and I love the Top 10.
