Theo well anything would have been a vast improvement over but he was actually quite good. "Collide" was a
very good choice for him and he did it well. I really enjoyed it. He can sing very well and he's excellent at picking the right songs. The hair needs to go
asap but overall I like Theo more every week.

Jesse seems like a nice guy but he's gonna have to go sooner or later.
Theo singing "Collide" by Howie Day. Uh-Oh. louie is probably going berserk now. Probably the best performance of the night so far, BUT.... Keith > > > > > > > > > Theo OMG. Lukass Rossi is in the audience. Why is he still on TV? |

Katelyn is up next and she's talking about that portrait painter who used her as his muse or whatevs. Another one
with no friends who didn't fit in in high school (whatever). She thinks "She Talks To Angels" is about a woman who feels alone. Isn't it
about drugs? Actually isn't it OBVIOUSLY about drugs? Better to listen to than the first 3 but still not appealing. It had some nice moments but I
didn't love it. I'm just not really a fan of Katelyn.

I thought Katelyn did a fine job.
Katelyn may be in danger. Luckily she's not splitting votes with Lisa Yell. |

From Best to Worst:
Good Theo Tams- The song started out too low for him, but he found his
place. Not incredible, but good. It doesn't compare with the best of last night.
He tried some things that really worked to spice up the song, but not enough-- it was a bit boring. Still, the kid rocks at playing the piano.
Mitch MacDonald- I've been waiting for this performance all week. His voice matched up well with the song, the instrumentation was great, and like Zack said, it exuded happiness. I wish he would have done parts of the song a bit more staccato and I agree that he does look a bit whiny when he sings, but
he's just got an original style that works well and that many of the others don't have. Thank goodness he's
from a place that votes for CI.
Omar Lunan- I thought the singing was great.
Very stylistic though I don't think he reinvented the song. For some reason, though, I just can't get
into his performances. And the head bobbing gets old. Bring back Stephane Aubin
to sing this, please.
Oliver Pigott- I really liked the beginning, but the quiet performance got old-he
needed to change it up a bit halfway through. It got too soft at the end.
Earl Stevenson- I don't think this performance had the soul that he's inserted into other ones. It was okay, but I know he could have done better. And we really need to work on choreography on this show-the pacing around the stage and the up and down motions drove me wild. I couldn't watch the rest of the performance. Also can't stand how he responds to the judge's comments. It sounds ridiculous.
Katelyn Dawn- tons of sob stories tonight.
She looked great and I loved the white guitar. She did an ok job, but again- it was a bit boring. Loved the ending, want to see more, but I hope she improves. Last night, Jake had some
nice comments-tonight, he's just reusing them. "Not enough despair," "not enough
words." Blah.
Adam Castelli- I just can't get into this guy. I find him boring and cocky and I can't stand the way he enunciates. "gone 'til no-vem-BURR." Ugh.

Yeah Wildcat, Natalie did a Mandy Mooreish version of "Umbrella" too but actually sang well and didn't suck the life out of it the way Jessica
did. So Mandy and Natalie now own Jessica. Not to mention Rihanna's crappy live version of Umbrella on the show last year was better than Jessica's
version too.

Mitch also used to be a hockey player but his lung collapsed one day and now he has 50 staples in one of his lungs. He
still plays hockey and sings, obviously. He picked an even better song this week. He sounded really good and I really liked it. It was a little fun and he made
it really enjoyable to watch and listen to. He really could be a dark horse.

Mitch looks better without his accounting glasses.
Ouch. His lungs collapsed and there are staples inside him. "I'm Yours" is a very new Mraz song. I bet Gregorilla is throwing things at the TV now and whining "Only I can sing Jason Mraz songs on CI!" |

Katherine is so bland. There is absolutely nothing special about her.
Come on, fulfill your fodder status already! |

Omar's son is 2 and his name is Owen. He actually sounded good tonight. He picked a good song that suited his style
and it had a lot of passion. He's still not someone I'm personally rooting for but I could stand him being in the competition over a group of other
choices who are more likely to stay in.
Katherine's dad is a professional hockey player and went to the Olympics in 1992 and won the silver medal with Canada. She chose "The First Cut is the Deepest." I just enjoy this girl, I don't know why. She's just pleasant to listen to. Jessica, Lisa and Marie-Pierre do absolutely nothing for me but Katherine I have always liked. I thought she did well. I liked it. One thing she really brought that someone like Jessica didn't is she brought life and passion to the song. You don't get desperation with her so she's a lot better to watch and listen to. |

Omar just averted his KKKannon fodder status with that performance. Job well done.

Earl my future husband is up next with "Let's Give Em Something To Talk About." Interesting song choice
to say the least. I just love this guy's voice. I agree that it wasn't as soulful as he can be but I still thought it was awesome. Plus I think
he's playing it smart. He knows how many similiar guys are in the Top 20 and knows if he wants to get into that Top 10 he really has to bring it. He really
showed off his vocals tonight and I think that will bode well for him.

Oliver got the pimp spot. I really love his voice. Not quite as sexy as Sebastian but I'd take them both at one
time, Pigott sandwich please. He did really well though, he's not going anywhere, I think him and his brother will both make the Top 10 honestly.
Excellent.

second week in a row, I dun get the Theo love, yes he's not a bad singer, but i dun think his voice tone fits with
the songs he has sung
i just dun like the way he plays his piano and the arrangement with the drums and everything never fits with the emotion of the song. i agree with roadie, Keith's Collide >>>>>>>>>>> better vocal, better music arrangment, more emotional >>>> Theo |

I'll never get the Earl love. sry. His awkward dancing white boy shtick is getting old.
Piggly Wiggly did a phenomenal job with SSTBAHW. He redeemed himself this week. |

I liked last night's show better. Tonight's show was a mixed bag.
The Good Omar - Fresh take on an old song that is frequently sung on Idol. He might've trumped Stephane's (who?) version Theo - The best vocalist of the first half of the show, but not the best rendition of "Collide" (Keith still pwns) Katelyn - I liked her performance tonight. She has a nice soothing soulful sound that could work well with a country number. Song choice is really key for her. I hope she sings something upbeat next week (if she survives this week) Oliver - Much better this week than last week's "I'm better than thou" performance. Mitch - Reminded me of Jason Castro's laidbackness. Good song choice since the song is still very new The Okay Jesse - Much better this week but his time is almost up. Earl - I just don't get him. Don't like him. Don't hate him either. He has "quirky but expendable" written all over him. The "I Don't Give A Rat's Ass About You" Katherine - zzzzzzzz The Bad Jessica - Bitch thinks she's OMG UNIQUE!!! with her song choice. The song has been covered to death by now by every genre imaginable and she performed it in the most mundane way possible. Adam - it's absurd that I had to put Jessica over Adam but dude did himself no favors. It's like he was playing guitar over at his house with some friends and beer. Not a lot of singing going on there. Biggest disappointment of the season. He just lost his slot in the top 10 and opened it to someone who probably needed it (like Omar or Gary). |

Loved Theo. And Omar! Wow--I usually hate runs and embellishments but his were subtle and totally worked for him and the song.
I really like Mitch and, like Roadblocker, totally flashed to Jason Castro. The thing I don't like about Mitch is his hair--the fauxhawk is just not him. He'd be better off growing it a little and doing a slightly mussed up bed head thing. Shocker, I know, but I have never heard the song Umbrella done by anyone. I actually liked Jessica a little more tonight vocally, but I'm sure she'll be back to power belting next week and I will hate her again. Can't believe she played the bully card. That's just pathetic. And she totally looks like a blend of Lacey Schwimmer and Cameron Manheim. I don't know what to say about Earl. I like his vibe and voice, but he's just a bit too messy. I didn't like his song choice or his performance, but he sounded okay. Looooved his snowboarding videos. Adam sucked. Jesse sucked. Katelyn and Katharine were just okay. I don't know what it is about Oliver but I'm just not a fan. Much better tonight than last week, but he hasn't won me over. 2 questions: I was thinking Brian was a giant because of how short the other guys seem to be when standing next to him. But then Katelyn and Katharine seemed much closer to him in height (though I'm sure they were wearing heels) so he can't be like 6'5" or anything. Are all of the male contestants little wee folk or what? Are all you Canadians super athletic? I can't believe the how many of these contestants are also big athletes. It's pretty cool, actually. |

And she totally looks like a blend of Lacey Schwimmer and Cameron Manheim.I think her pre-face to the I got bullied thing was that she only has one ear so she actually has a valid reason. My friend that went to the taping told me she's had 16 reconstructive surgeries in life because of it. Poor kid. |
