If it continues to go down next year, I think once the contract is up for Season 8, it will be the end of Idol. There isn't any media interest in this show at all and its cultural impact is that of the weather network. It's there, you sometimes flip to see what is on, but ultimately, if it disappeared, you wouldn't give a toss. It's a shame cause we do have a musical identity that is different than America but I guess that's dying out now.

I had a great time with you guys watching this season, but when you Canadians lost interest and barely posted, the ennui enveloped me as well. The DC/SHC fights were still pretty good though.

I personally like to know how Stephenville, NL got the most snow and how Richmond, BC got such and such amount of rain. I also like the local forecasts and the world forecasts and you see how hot it is in Dubai when it's -30 here and your freezing your tatas off. It kills time........kinda like Idol. I think I watch too much Big Brother UK cause toss is a term there for you wouldn't give a shit or care. I've been watching it for years so you pick up on the lingo fast and use it and don't realize you are. lol. Dags, it happens almost every year, everyone just loses interest but last year, there was more activity and interest still at this point in the comp. This year it's been a bit boring. I've said that since the Top 10 got revealed. Too many safe and predictable choices.

It gave me bad memories of cold temperatures watching that Weather Network clip. I think she is strictly CP24 staff and I think CP24 is just for the Toronto and greater area. I'm not sure if they have various CP24s for all the major metro cities. Now they've got a bunch of new people...but the ones off the top of my head I distinctly remember who may or may not be still with TWN: Chris St. Clair - Every Saturday morning during the winter CSC was my TV buddy Kim MacDonald Shelley Steeves - east coast Oga Nwobosi - west coast Anne-Marie Sweeney - HATE her.
