Jacob hasn't exactly been kind to the program who made him star. Had Zack and Jake not given him the benefit of the doubt at his audition and said no, there would be no Hedley.

Appearing on a CI finale again must be very begrudging for him. Hedley are not exactly big name superstars outside Canada, which is why they keep showing up on Idol. Until they break into the mainstream in the USA (which they've tried before but failed), they will ALWAYS go back to CI. I mean, what else is there besides Canadian Idol, Much Music VMA's, and appearing on MOD? Nothing.

She alone is not enough for me to watch again, but I will for John Legend and Jully. <3 What's with these guests anyway? I thought CI didn't care at all anymore about catering to an R&B audience. I saw in a commercial that Jordin Sparks is suppose to perform next week? After this season, people like Brandon Jones doesn't seem so hate-worthy anymore. Even Kati Durst doesn't seem so bad to me anymore.

Although I asked about it being on the results show with no judging. But whatever. I'm still trying to figure out what he's talking about with AI singing original songs. *Q: Would the producers consider a show where the contestants could showcase their own material and would you support the idea?* I would support the idea of contestants playing their own material but first of all that's not what the show's about and second of all, I think it's important that people realize anytime anybody's doing unfamiliar tunes to the majority of the audience, it would be very hard for them to judge. They did try it on the American show once and it wasn't really well received so while I would support it, I don't actually think it would work.

I hate Jake, he's such an asshat. "That's not what the show is about." I thought it was about finding someone to become a recording artist? Or wait it's about ratings. IMO original songs would help ratings and help sell them as a real recording artist as opposed to a manufactured one. I have no idea what he's talking about with American Idol. As far as I know they've never done original songs. They did that "Shine" bullshit once and that other "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" charity single but nothing individual. Australian Idol has done it numerous times as we know and it has always been well received. Only a tard would be opposed to hearing some original music imo.
