It's a version of "Do You Hear What I Hear", and it will be available on iTunes and other sites as of tomorrow. As with his "Christmas Dream" single from last year, the net proceeds from sales of the single will go to War Child Canada. ETA - Theo has now posted "Do You Hear What I Hear" on his MySpace page, so you can listen to it there. But if you like it, please be sure to buy a copy as of tomorrow since the net proceeds go to help children. If the judges had the power to decide who from the bottom 2 went home ala X Factor etc. would it have changed any of the results? A deadlocked tie would go to the public vote. My thoughts... Season 1 Pretty sure the Judges would have voted to keep Toya and Jenny as they seemed to adore both of them. Maybe Audrey over Gary too but it's a bit unclear. Season 2 Kaleb would have been saved from elimination and given another chance, Elena would have gone home instead. Possibilty of Elena being kept over Shane, though it's iffy I think. Maybe Shane being kept over Jason also, though again iffy. Season 3 Daryl may have gone home over Emily. I think there's a slight possibility Ashley over Melissa but I think on the whole the judges preffered Melissa even at that point and didn't think she should have been in the bottom 2 either time. I think Josh would have been kept over Suzi as the judges seemed to adore him and got tired of Suzi pretty quick (although his rock performance might have hurt his chances). Season 4 The only one I can think of is maybe Ashely over Craig. Season 5 Maybe Martha over Matt. Greg over Brian is a possibility (judges would have a meltdown on that one for sure). Perhaps Matt over Dwight. Season 6 Katherine would have stayed over Sebastian as the judges loved her and he was disappointing them. I don't think the judges would have wiillingly sent Mookie home so Mookie over Drew. Overall probably one or two switch-ups per season I would say. The most obvious saves would be Toya, Jenny, Kaleb, Katherine and Mookie. Thoughts?

CI1 Ryan likely wouldn't have won and Jenny may have ended up edging out Gary for the east coast vote. Perhaps a top 3 of Billy, Toya and Jenny. I don't think anything would have changed Kalan winning so CI2 no. CI3 maybe we could have had a Melissa/Josh final two if they kept Josh but I think the winner would have been the same. CI4 might have been different if Ashley had stayed over Craig, you would have had three girls from Ontario (well Eva pretty much) splitting the votes. I think it would have been a Tyler/Eva finale with Tyler beating Eva in the end (considering how close it was with Craig and Tyler had some momentum at that point). CI5 if they kept Greg over Brian then there's a good chance of Greg winning. If Katherine had stayed in CI6 it may have shaken things up. Mark might have gone home a week earlier and Theo and Earl were in the bottom 3 the following week, so perhaps Theo being eliminated at Top 7. I have no idea who would have won had that happened. If Katherine did go home where she did and they kept Mookie over Drew then it could have been a Mookie/Theo final two. Mookie may have won.

I think Craig was seen as an excellent singer, superior to Tyler and it was close b/c people actually liked him which is disturbing considering. I also disagree that Greg would have won, he wouldn't have even made F2 imo. It would have just been between Carly Rae and Bixbitch at this point and she may have won. I can agree that Mookie MIGHT have won but I still think he was too polarizing. Also who was in F2 with Amberly at Top 6? I think the judges may have kept her, I don't know that they were too keen on an all penis F5 and they liked Amberly. Was it Drew or Earl? I have a feeling it was Earl, in that case it could have gone either way, they liked both. If it was Drewche I think they would have kept Amberly in a heartbeat over that loser. Either way though I think Theo still would have won, as much as I would like there to have been a scenario that Amberly would win in.

Toya was in the bottom with Audrey I think, but the judges liked her too. Maybe they would've saved Jenny at the expense of Ryan. That would've changed the results drastically cause Billy would've picked up those votes and won. Audrey was in the bottom 2 with Gary when she got booted. So maybe her. But at the same time that was top 4 and X-Factor lets the public deside from either top 4 or 5 on. So if we're going by how X-Factor goes the public vote would've stuck. Season 2: Kalan would've won no matter what. Kaleb vs Elena could go either way. Same with Shane vs Jason. Season 3: Ashley vs Melissa is a toss-up. Josh would've stayed over Suzi. They might've saved Amber but I don't remember who she was in the bottom with. Melissa would've still won. Season 4: Hopefully the judges would've saved Ashley. Eva would've definitely beaten Tyler or anyone else. Season 5: Greg vs Brian would've been interesting. Could go either way. Greg wouldn't win no matter what. It would've been Jaydee vs Carly Rae. I have no idea who would've won since both are polarizing. Season 6: Katherine would've got saved and could've been a threat. Amberly would've got saved over either Earl or Drew. Mookie would've got saved at the expense of Drew. Too bad the judges didn't have the power that season. I still think the top 2 would've been the same unfortunately.

The public often gets it wrong. But on Factor this year, they have gone to deadlock 4 out of 5 times and the bottom vote getter has gone so it only works if there is no deadlock. I think they would have saved Greg over Brian and Jaydee would have won. I still believe that no one in the Top 10 could have stopped Bixbitch from winning other than Brian. It would have been a Jaydee/Crappy Rae or Jaydee/Greg F2 with Jaydee winning in both scenarios. I don't think Season 6 would have changed anything or Season 4. Meslissa leaving over Ashley would have made Rex win. Rex was really popular and very sucessful out the gate with his c.d. If Ryan was kicked off Season 1, it would have been a Billy Jenny F2. EPIC. Season 1: Billy or Jenny win (best f2 ever) Season 2: Kalana Season 3: Rex Season 4: Eva Season 5: Jaydee Season 6: Theo This is the winners list if KI had judges choice of boot like Factor

I've always wished the judges would have more power on CI, mostly because they always love my favos and have way better taste than KKKanada as a whole. I'm glad Max agrees that in CI6 they would have saved Amberly. I mean come on, even penis hungry Sass would have saved her imo. I wish they had the power to kick out people like Drewche and Newfies, it would make the show so much better. Fangirls and regional voters had too much control over the votes for CI and I think a different voting system was necessary for the show. I don't think every Idol franchise works with the same kind of voting system. I still think a system more like World Idol would have been a lot better, or possibly more judge involvement. I think we still ended up with great winners but there were way too many deserving talents that got cut so early because of the heavy control over the votes that tween girls and regional voters had.

KI needs: 1) To charge a small fee for phone and text (like 10 or 25 cents) This would put a big haul into regional voting. 2) B2 selection of who goes home from Judges. 3) Judges pick who enters the Final 12 and have no semis rounds. This will avoid a lot of greats from falling through the cracks. I think Kanada is suited for the X Factor style.

The semis is usually where things get messed up the most, especially in seasons 4-6 with the new format. Keith and Nancy anyone? Not to mention CI6 where a lot of talented folks got cut just before top 10 (should have probably been a top 12) and CI5 which would have been more interesting if people like Montana, Tyler, Andrew Austin etc. made top 10. Maybe the show would benefit going back to the groups + wildcard format from the first seasons, at least those who don't make it wouldn't seem robbed quite as much.

They should change it back to the groups. Not a top 32 though. Top 24 would be enough and split it by gender. Week 1: Monday: 6 girls perform Tuesday: 6 guys perform Wednesday: The top 2 from each night move on Week 2: M: The other 6 girls perform T: The other 6 guys perform W: 4 more move on Week 3: Wildcard Round Tue: Judges pick the best 8 or 10 to perform again Wed: Canada picks 2 people and the judges pick 2. We have our top 12. The worst that can happen is it's 4 girls/8 guys. Contestants will only be able to move on if they get the majority of votes. Regional/fangirl voting alone won't be able to get someone in the top 2. It does save people from elimination with the new format. Mark Day wouldn't have ever made the finals that way. OR Start with a top 24. Split it into 2 groups of 12 by gender. Week 1: M: 12 girls perform T: 12 guys perform W: 3 from each move on Week 2: Mix up the genders M: 9 perform T: 9 perform W: 2 from each move on We have our top 10. It could be split up into 4 weeks instead of 2. Lots of options. It would've helped if we had a top 12 instead. Even if someone crappy gets through, if there's 2 more spots maybe it won't be as big of an issue. I don't think it's that much of an issue the first 2 seasons though. Season 1: Since we already had a top 11, if one more person could've been added it probably would've been Andrew Leader. Yah I know no one remembers him. Season 2: It probably would be Jessica Mitchell and Raj. Season 3: This is where I think it would've been a good idea. Stephan, Jennnnnnnn, Dianalys and Cher could've been interesting. Ok Cher for laffos mostly. Season 4: We wouldn't have cared as much that Brandon & Kati made it if Keith and Nancy rounded out the top 12. I'd still like to replace them with Gregorilla and Alisha though. Season 5: Liam could've be a threat to win if he made it. I don't like the rest of them that season but Montana would've probably joined him. Season 6: There's lots of people who I would've liked in the finals. It probably would've been Oliver and Katelyn though. Off chance Marie-Pierre. That would've made the finals stronger.

S6 defo agree, I would have liked Katelyn and Gary in the Top 12 and for sure Jessica and Raj from S2, or Ted and of course I would want Keith and Nancy in from S4 but yeah I still hate Brandon and Kati.
