Oh piss.
I hate those ads. So depressing. I could be having the best day ever, and if I see one of those ads/commercials my mood is instantly killed. Oh well, at least it's not the one with Sarah Mclaughlin and "Angels". That one is the ultimate for mood killing. And I don't even like animals. Gah. |

Yeah same I'm not an animal person but those commercials get me.
The worst are like World Vision type deals though with starving children, so sad. It's hard because there's nothing I can do about it. |

Lazy Lovers made another nice move up the R&R Nielsen Soundscan
airplay chart this week, jumping from #15 up to #11, and it is one of the songs with the most added plays in Canada again this week. So Theo has moved up to
#11 on both radio airplay charts (Mediabase and Soundscan) this week as Lazy Lovers gets steadily increasing airplay across the country. Hopefully the promo
he has been doing all this week will help propel him into the Top 10 next week.

You should work as Theo's PR agent Dwiebe, you do a great job at making him sound like a success.

Well at least Theo's having the same success other CI contestants have. It's the only success any CI contestant can really hope for at this point and
that is radio airplay. No one's buying their stuff but at least they want to hear it on the radio. That's better than a double sucker punch of not
selling and not getting airplay.

Could Dwiebe tell us the precise time of Theo's next bowel movement?

Now Miki, you should know by now that I'm not that easily deterred. If I was, I would have been out of here a long time ago.
Hmm...it appears I missed posting this last week - Theo performing Lazy Lovers live on Canada AM (May 21/09)...and sounding great as always! |

Wow that's so depressing he performed on Canada AM and all these radio stations and he still only sold 1000 (logical estimate) copies of his album.

I can't believe Theo's song can't make the Top 100 Soundscan chart for Airplay when Carly Rae is up there in the 50s. Carly fucking Rae with an
indie label is getting presumably A LOT more airplay than Theo with a major label.
It's official Sony BMG fails at payola, lol. I actually heard "All I Ever Wanted" in the dollar store tonight though. |

I actually heard "All I Ever Wanted" in the dollar store tonight thoughfitting as the winners can only afford to shop there with their royalties. |

It was Dollarama though, they now have some items at 1.25, 1.50 and 2 dollars, that might be a little too steep for them.

Also I heard "Bucket" on the radio again tonight. Sorry Theo I have yet to hear "Lazy Lovers" ever on any station, nor did I ever hear
"Sing."
Carly's music is so catchy, I adore it. I see why it's so popular on Virgin, it's a different kind of genre but it fits in well. People can really sing a long with it and enjoy it with the windows down. It's a good Summer release. I think it's safe to say Maple Music >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sony BMG. Maple Music has always rocked, I still fondly remember how Theresa used them as her distributor for her debut and and went Gold and debuted at #4 as an indie artist and then signed with their indie label for her 2nd album. Seriously how depressing that after CI2 the runner up with no record label could debut in the Top 5, with an album of mainly cover songs at that. There's only one Sony artist on the Top 100 for airplay and only 5 this week on the Top 100 albums sales including Theo and most of them a compilation albums or dance mix shit. They epic fail, or suck hardcore if you will.

I just saw the Theo commercial again, on Food Network again. It's probably on other Canadian stations but being Summer I'm not watching a ton of
channels, mostly American Summer shows and I watch a lot of Food Network so I guess that's why I keep seeing it on there.
It's a nice female voice over as opposed to the lame CTV one. It's the clip of Theo playing the piano from the "Lazy Lovers." She says something about the "much anticipated debut album" (I guess that's why SBMG can't afford to pay to get the song played, they had to pay her to say that, unless she was specifically referring to much anticipated by Dwiebe). They "Lazy Lovers" shows up in pink letters and she says with the debut single "Lazy Lovers." There's a picture of the album in the corner and at the end a huge Now Avaliable On iTunes with the iTunes logo and she says now available on iTunes. Perhaps jointly paid for by iTunes/Sony BMG. |

Theo did an "Up Close and Personal" performance with The River radio station in Lethbridge tonight. The station is going to air it tomorrow (Thursday, June 4) night at 8 pm eastern (that's 6 pm in Lethbridge), so if you're at all interested, you can tune in and listen online - http://www.1077theriver.ca/listen/gateway.jsp He was supposed to be peforming four songs live, so hopefully they will play all four of them along with the interview/Q&A he did. |
