I've heard Eva, Hedley, Melissa, Carly Ho on the radio lately. I also see Whoram a lot on t.v. That's basically it. I can't even remember seeing
anything about Theo anywhere.

Theo's "Lazy Lovers" has been getting fairly good play on soft-rock stations. I hear it a few times a day here on EZ Rock, and CHFI added it as
well. In fact, after one play on EZ Rock last week, the DJ said "THAT is what a heavily requested song sounds like", so I guess they are getting
requests from their listeners for it, which is good.

I loved when Tarzan Dan turned The Hit List into The Brit List. The UK had some great pop music (and I really loved the Take That specials).

Theo at EZ Rock in Edmonton this morning, talking about the CD, the video, the tour, the book, and more. ETA: �Found a pic of the book cover. �It is by the same people who did "Hedley: Fan Lowdown" 
This week's Mediabase chart is out.� "Lazy Lovers" has once again moved up the Canada AC Airplay chart from #14 to�#11, once again with increased plays over last week, so the single is still doing well for him.� I'm not sure about the Nielsen Soundscan chart as it comes out later in the week, but it was "Most Added" on that one last week.

Wow so I'm actually impressed with Sony BMG right now. They actually put together a nice ad for Give It All Away and paid for airtime for it on a channel
other than CTV. I was watching Food Network about 45 minutes ago and I heard "Lazy Lovers" and it was a nice ad for Theo's CD.
It might be too little too late but at least they made an effort outside of those crappy 15 second spots on CTV that every Idol contestant gets by default, even losers not signed to Sony BMG. |

They pretty much just talked to him a bit...asked a few questions. Gee, he's a Facebook junkie! I never would have guessed!
He still hangs out with Mookie and Earl a lot. He had a
lot more input into the CD than he had expected to have. When asked if he wished he had come in second, he answered with a very emphatic "NO!" and
went on to explain that he is very competitive and it was a journey to him. He felt he conquered a lot on finale night. He says he went into Idol thinking
"I refuse to fail" and that it wasn't being cocky, it was being determined. It seems he had a lot to proove to people including himself. It
still kind of freaks him out to get recognized in public. And he performed "Lazy Lovers" live...and sounded incredible. As great as he is on CD, he
will always be one of those artists who is incredibly strong in live performance. So much more emotion comes though the music.

I think it had a clip from the "Lazy Lovers" video and the voice over (not the same CTV one, lol) said something about the single, then they showed the CD and said Theo Tams Give It All Away in stores now or something like that. I don't remember exactly but it was nicer and more like a real ad than that cheap default CTV voice over crap. I have no idea why it was on Food Network, I guess they just bought advertising time on some popular Canadian networks. |
