Can anyone recommend dog booties? My medium-sized dog is apparently a wimp when the cold weather/ rock salt hits her poor tender paws. She has begun to stop
mid-walk, lay on her back and whimper and make my husband carry her the rest of the way home, or try to balance herself on her nose and lift up both front paws
from the ground (which is actually pretty damn funny).
My dog's paws and my husband's back thank you in advance. |

My dog is a Siberian. He loves the snow and ice. Our area only uses sand on the roads.. so I can't recommend anything.

I'd be careful of that link - I think Blondie shops for WEIRD stuff on Amazon. WEIRD stuff.

my dog is afraid of wet grass, but I make him walk on it anyway because he really needs to get over it.

We put my kids baby socks on our dog once and just held them on loosely with ponytail holders until we could get out and buy booties for her.

Squash, if she weren't so sweet we'd mock her wimpiness, but she's so darn cute we can't. She's miserable on this frozen tundra, so I gotta
bite the bullet and get her some boots. Whether she'll wear them or not is another matter entirely.
Thanks worstie and blonde, I'll check out those links! |

Many dogs don't do well with the booties. REI sells them and my dog didn't like them. There is however an ointment/gel you can buy and put on the paws
to protect them when they go out for walks. I don't have the name but (and I am not kidding) Martha Stewart used to sell it online but there may be others.
The number one thing is to make sure that you clean their feet immediately when they come in and get anything off the feet as they will lick them and it can
make them sick.

having done the boot thing trust me, NO fleece being the major componant. it absorbs water like mad and makes the dog's feet even colder. no
'booties' height either. those suckers fall right off

they also sell the stuff for dog paws if they're salting the sidewalks where you live, it's likely burning the dog's feet |
