What were your favorite toys as a child? |

I was looking through old photo albums with my mother and found a bunch of me playing with some of my favorite toys. I had Rock 'em' Sock 'em
Robots, Legos, a chemistry kit (where I learned how to make a stink bomb with a pea-sized piece of wax and sulfur in a test tube) and this huge magic set by
Mr. Blackwell or Harry Blackwell (I forgot the actual name) but it had a huge plastic top hat with a load of secret compartments to pull out balls and a fake
bunny rabbit.

There was this huge lego competitor named Zakks which had triangular hinge-chips instead of blocks; leave me alone with at least a hundred of these buggers and
I'd be having fun for hours.

Micronauts, Shogun Warriors, Atari 2600, Colecovision, Megos, Big Wheel, Megabug Gladiators, Wacky Wallcrawlers and that furry orange worm on a string. I never
did figure out Rubik's Cube.

Ooh, I had a Stretch Armstrong too but I was curious about what was inside so I took out a steak knife from my kitchen and cut him open to look at the goo.
Does anyone else remember a toy from the 70's that looked like a bird and when you winded it up and stuck it to a wall or any smooth surface it would climb up about 4 feet then jump off and flap its wings? I can't remember the name of it but I had one. |

I've shared this pic of me and my Chrissy doll a few times in OT. She was my fave!

I had a strech armstrong too, man I wish I still had it!
I liked the creepy crawler machine, to make creepy crawlers. Spirograph, is that what it was called? Where you used these plastic circles to make cool designs, I loved that. I had a baby chrissy too, and a baby alive, baby alive was not one of my favorites but I loved baby Chrissy. Also those dolls with the big eyes and you could pull a string and their eyes changed colors, very 70's but almost like an early Bratz type doll without the hoochie clothing.. I also liked my rock tumbler to make pretty shiney rocks. |

Almost forgot, I had Starsky and Hutch, dolls/figures, I used to love them and that show, they were shorter than my barbies but my barbies still dated them.

We had the same gold drapes when I grew up tarzan groupie! When I was really young I had a pink cardboard kitchen set with the dishes and pots and pans, and a
wide assortment of Barbies and other dolls. I inherited my older sister's Chatty Cathy, but didn't play with it too much. The influence must not have
stuck because I hate cooking and never had any kids. When I was a little older my favorite was my bike and Big Wheel.
