I was glad they made it, they actually seemed like decent people. The boyfriend (Shawn, I think his name was?) definitely did what he needed to do, which I
think will probably help in the long run becuase he'll know how to help the alcoholic guy out.

Going to Al Anon has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I'm so glad the guy's partner was aggressively pursuing getting his
own help. The families from past episodes who can't even take 1 hour of their precious, precious time to sit and listen and talk to people of similar
experience are nucking futs and putting their recovering addicts in jeopardy.

They do the same things in movies- no one is simply just born evil i movie land- they always have the killer or bad guy confess to some past trauma or show him being abused as a kid to explain his bad behavior. Truth is- some people are just born evil- but we always have to have a reason why. Not to say that addicts are evil- they are just sick- but it's the same though process- "there must be a reason why." |

Yeah, I'm watching it too. I've seen it before & this mom takes the cake. She's stuck in the 80's with the damn hats & talk about an
IDIOT! Letting this strange man slide into the family & yet not know something was up? Talk about Jesus blinders. The kid had to scream out, "He
FUCKED me" before she got the picture.
But what amazes me most is her praying over the money she gives him to go out & buy meth with. |

the hats...yikes. the jesus blinders evidentally blocked the parents from seeing that it was highly unusual for a 25 year old man to be BFF with an 8 year old
the good news: i looked up his progress on a&e and he is still sober after a couple of slips. gawd bless him. poor kid, i hope he continues to do well. |

Not sure how old this is, but Allison (the one who inhaled office cleaner) has a follow-up video on the A&E website. She's blonde now and seems to have
gained some weight. She says she suffered no long-term damage.

Thanks for posting that, Red. She's sober, but underneath the giggles, she seems very angry. I hope she's working it out.

You know Allison was one of the weirdest ones ever on this, I reference her a lot as one of the biggest idiots on Intervention ever, her huffing on that can of
duster while talking to camera will always be in my mind when watching these...I also do nothing but shake my head watching the alcoholics who drink mouthwash
it makes me sick when they do, ew.
But I think the chick who hits herself topped all this week. Poor little Eddie. |

wow, did anyone see the episodes tonight? I haven't watched in awhile, so maybe they were reruns -- but crazy stuff. the first one was this guy who had no
friends and didn't take care of his diabetes. his fluctuating insulin levels made him depressed, and his depression kept him from monitoring his sugar...
vicious cycle... the second one was this girl who was a whiz hair stylist who worked for paul mitchell making $130K a year when she was 19, but she was super
insecure, got plastic surgery, then started doing coke, then wound up a meth head. of course she quit rehab after a month, and her mom the enabler let her move
back in (after the mom did a stint at betty ford clinic to address her own former coke addiction and her enablist tendencies), although she's supposedly
stayed sober... really harsh stuff.

I saw last night's episode. Man, Casie was so mean! Something about Meth makes people vicious and angry. Definitely not a happy drug. I knew Casie was
not going to make it, her mother was such an enabler and Casie never seemed truly committed to the process. I love how the ending said she lived with Donna
but made no mention of Hank. I hope Hank hightailed it out of there. Clearly, between the daughter's addiction, her motherly love, and her weakness, she
really had no room in her life for anyone else. Hope the dude is not having to pay any alimony.

The one before that one, with the diabetic kid, was so fucking depressing.
I felt so bad for him and his dad just looked so, so, so sad. I think that was the first episode that made me cry. |

I just watched the one about the Canadian suicidal alcoholic and Anthony, the 22 year old alcoholic.
Man. I mean...wow. I've been part of a couple really heartbreaking interventions before and Anthony's brought a lot of those memories back. |

Yeah, the show is pretty raw.

I couldn't feel bad for the Canadian Suicidal Alcoholic. He was such a douchebag.

Yeah, I didn't care much about that guy, but I felt so bad for Anthony. It was heartbreaking.
I think I saw a new season starts May 25th, so we'll have some new episodes to talk about. |

Did anyone see the one with the guy that owned all the Tanning Salons in Las Vegas, and was an alcoholic??? Gut.Wrenching. Not even so much the fact that you
felt sorry for him, but the amount of love that was being poured out for him. When the younger brother started crying during the intervention, I lost it.
Also...watch the end. Huge shock/more @++$$.

Reading these responses, I suddenly feel a bit awkward that I watch this show as a comedy. |

that's why i like it. i take their plights seriously but some of the shit that they do is hilarious. i still say the rage freak with the gambling problem
that lived with his parents was one of most unintentionally hilarious things i have ever watched.
