Yeah, that Ep was a bit of a stretch for my tolerance of Intervention. I didn't believe her at all. She just had her "story" down too pat.
Nichole was gaming a bit too much. Of course it could just be my general intolerance for anyone that proclaims "My children are the most important things
in my life" and then proves in their every action that their children mean absolutely nothing to them.
But that's on me. I would make a terrible rehab counselor. Even last night's Ep with the girl who crushed up pills in a straw and injected them (I can't remember the name of the drug or the girl.) The addict was in complete control of her entire family that basically did anything she asked of them, including her "fiance" who would drive her to hotels several times a week so she could give blowjobs (or more) to strangers for $60. What skeeved me out the most is that the family seemed to be defined by the whole thing. The family seemed almost proud that they were "protecting" this addict from death, when they were helping to cause it. The family was "suffering" in this great noble cause. Bullshit. She left her 90 day rehab after 3 weeks. The show ended with the classic Intervention statement that "she says she hasn't done" which is just Intervention code for "we don't believe her." This world is incomprehensible to me. |

all that overreacting and i still don't see an "intervention" thread... eta: i'm having a tivo intervention night, so i watched the straw girl before nicole. that was brittany. her mom was a broken freak because brittany's sister was raped and killed. the boyfriend driving her to the blowjob job was too bizarre. i think she's too far gone to save.

Sorry - Nicole made me absolutely sick. Everything about her was disgusting, from squeezing her grey pasty "food" into her stomach to that infection
where the tube is stuck in her stomach to her treatment of her older daughter in particular. Oh yeah - let's not forget her piles and piles of rotting
masticated food laying around the house. Bitch is effin' repulsive and impossible to sympathize with. There's all kinds of legal things she could do
to enact justice for the abuse she suffered.....I know I'd go for it and have a damn good time doing it too.

I HATED that bitch Nicole.� Her kid wouldn't even hug her when she left.� I hated how at the end it was like "Nicole learned how to eat baby

It seems that Allison was older & more aware at the time of the molestation. Also, older siblings tend to want to protect the younger, so the
psychological fall-out can be greater.

The problem with Brittany started before her birth, when her sister was abducted, raped and killed. The whole family, and especially the mother, should have
gotten some serious counseling at that time. When Brittany came along, everyone looked at her as a second chance. As she began to go downhill, I think
everyone was either still tied in knots over the original grief or too worried about upsetting the mother (who is definitely tied up in her own grief).
At one point, they said that at 15, Brittany was gang raped by her dealer and his friends. I still have a hard time understanding how this family (and more specifically the mother) didn't try to react then since they had been previously crippled by the fear that she would be abducted, raped and killed. It appeared that at some point, in the mother's eyes, it was ok for Brittany to die, as long as she died at home. |

yes, Nicole is a horrible person, but I still wanted to punch her father in the mouth when he said she just needed to "get over it" in regards to her
abuse. Maybe if his worthless ass had done something about it when it happened, she would have been able to get over it a little better. Fuck, not only did
they not even call the cops, but they didn't even move! Have fun seeing him every day, kiddo!
