The Squaw Peak open space has nice, rugged trails and great views of the town.

Hottest city in the US, although parts of Florida may feel hotter. Not as warm in the winter as Florida, or SoCal, but still better than most of the US.

Tucson better? no way. Only thing that matters is...is over 100 degrees (WELL over 100 degrees) six month a year, with a good 4 months of that well over 115
degrees (F, not C)...doable for you? And fuck this "dry heat" shit. Dry or moist....it's a hot mofo there. Might sound good now if you are buried
in snow, but living in that kinda heat can break you. And you HAVE to drive a white car; everything else is too fucking hot. And no, it doesn't really cool
down at night...unless you consider 85 cooling down.

Tucson is much better Damn straight. And it's cooler than Phoenix as well.
(But still a backwater...and a trap). |

Whatever Sunnie, my car was covered in ice three days ago. Tucson sucks and I would rather live in Mitchell, South Dakota than Tucson.

I say "yay." Yes, it's hot 4-5 months out of the year, from June through the middle of October, but the dry heat makes a HUGE difference. 90
degrees with no humidity is quite comfortable. Yeah, when it's 117 you'll wilt outside within moments, which is why I don't go outside when
it's 117. The other 7-8 months of the year is paradise, and is why we live here in the first place. There is affordable housing if you know where to look,
pretty good public school system overall, some terrific parks, wonderful golf if you're into that, great resorts, decent shopping, not too much culture
that isn't Southwest/Native American oriented but there are some ok museums and tons of art shops/galleries. We're being hit with the economic crisis
like everywhere else, but I think our unemployment rate is comparatively lower than a lot of other places. I could go on but it just dawned on me that I'm
giving a serious answer in OT. What was I thinking? Sorry 'bout that.
And, sorry gup, but reading that Tucson is better truly made me chuckle. I don't think I've ever heard anyone claim that before. |

BTW, is the Phoenix Zoo any good? I'm heading up tomorrow for the Fiesta Bowl Block Party and we have a day to kill.
Yea, I would miss making fun of Chuck George pretty much everyday.I saw him recently at La Encantada. He's short. |
