I say "yay." Yes, it's hot 4-5 months out of the year, from June through the middle of October, but the dry heat makes a HUGE difference. 90 degrees with no humidity is quite comfortable. Yeah, when it's 117 you'll wilt outside within moments, which is why I don't go outside when it's 117. The other 7-8 months of the year is paradise, and is why we live here in the first place. There is affordable housing if you know where to look, pretty good public school system overall, some terrific parks, wonderful golf if you're into that, great resorts, decent shopping, not too much culture that isn't Southwest/Native American oriented but there are some ok museums and tons of art shops/galleries. We're being hit with the economic crisis like everywhere else, but I think our unemployment rate is comparatively lower than a lot of other places. I could go on but it just dawned on me that I'm giving a serious answer in OT. What was I thinking? Sorry 'bout that.

And, sorry gup, but reading that Tucson is better truly made me chuckle. I don't think I've ever heard anyone claim that before.
