I'm watching episode two of China, with that fabulous clothes-less mud-wrestling challenge. Unfortunately, Jean-Robert's fatass ruined the challenge by winning on the second round, eliminating a chance to see Courtney take down Peih-Gee. All of those best out three/ best out whatever RC's need to be fixed: the tribe to win the best out of 3 wins a partial reward, but if they win all of them they get something even better... and the audience wins by not having the decent challenges cut short. |

Actually Todd sat out.
Personally, I'd rather see more of the strategy/camp life than waste time on challenges. When around half the episode is spent on challenges...that's when things start to suck. |

Some challenges can be the best part of an episode. If you have an obvious boot and a great challenge (say the vertical maze) then the challenge has a chance
to be the best part.
It is admittedly quite rare... |

Mmhmm. I forgot how wonderful the were until I rewatched it. The non-water seasons have to be more creative, and China took that creativity in a good direction. Unlike Fiji, which had.... Battleship. |

That violent capture the sandbag in Micronesia would've been awesome if it had gone best of 3 like intended, if only so we could focus less on Cirie and

Unlike Fiji, which had.... Battleship. Fiji's Slip-n-slide > every China challenge. I see the flaw with these kind of challenges but I like that they give the underdogs tribes a chance to get a few minor victories. If there's one or two guys on one tribe who overshadow everyone on the other, things tend to go predictably. if only so we could focus less on Cirie and Penner becoming assholes. I thought the only purpose of All-Stars seasons is to watch good contestants turn into assholes. |
