I was going to do this, but it was taking too much time, so I think I'll just rank them based on the criteria you mentioned. Except I'm not giving casts extra points for having less cast members. That part makes no sense to me


Body: the conditions (can include the location), the "surviving" aspect of the game, the challenges
1. China - My favorite location by far. Very cultural and a good mix of water and land scenery. There was flooding, people hiding in caves during rain, and pandas! Had some of the best and most creative challenges
2. Cook Islands - Favorite island location. Beautiful scenery with my favorite challenges ever. Lots of great fishing scenes with memorable shots of Jonathan with fish hanging from his crotch. Interesting to see how the original 4 different tribes got their camps together differently. Lots of cool chicken catching scenes or things like Ozzy randomly bringing back some bird to eat. It was fun to see some of the Aitu's bump into the Raros on their own camp. Like Pearl Islands, the piracy theme gave the season a great theme and made the challenges and mutiny even more epic
3. Pearl Islands - The location by itself was not that interesting like Exile Island, but the pirate theme gave things a total boost. The feel and theme of things added to the challenges and environment, because it felt like not only tribes competing against each other but like pirate teams battling 1 another. The looting and treasure chest twists were interesting additions, especially with the start with people starting with the clothes on their backs and then having to barter for goods. The challenge that determined if the Outcasts could come back was super exciting
4. Gabon - Probably my favorite inland location. The green grass and sprawling HD scenes was just gorgeous. Had a good mix of hardship, ground, and water, without being unpleasant. Seeing the rolling hills and exotic wildlife was a treat. I did not care that much for that turtle or electric eel scenes but survival wise, it gave us another look at how these people live which was nice. Liked the challenges like the starting race, and seeing the castaways race running but also climbing up the steep mountain. Also a good contrast to show struggling starving Fang and the reward-filled Kota camp
5. Guatemala - Loved the starting hike race through the jungle, and I wish we had more of that. It made for a neat theme of the men breaking down with the women all being okay. Great cultural location and also a tough hard one. Very unique and tough. Cindy gave us great moments talking about howling monkeys or how dangerous crocodiles are but the castaways jumped into the water anyways. I liked the mini pool they had in that hot location. It was neat seeing the castaways sitting on the pyramids. The final 4 minus Rafe eating the sacrificed chicken was funny
6. All-Stars - It was really interesting to see the veterans come back and try to survive in the wilderness. Like Micronesia, it was a rainy island season and it was brutal even for them. I love the shelter building, and it was great to see old favorite challenges again. Best survival part was Hatch getting bit by the shark and him biting it back. Seeing Hatch as the tribe provider even among veterans was nostalgic and also cool to see that he is good at that even among old players. The competition between Hatch and Rupert against other guys on their tribes made for a great competitive and survival theme
7. Marquesas - 1 of the toughest places to be, although it did not seem that way on the TV show. This season focused a lot on the island hardship and people working. While I don't like survival over-kill, if I have to rank it on that part, then I'd say that was 1 of Marquesas's strengths. Rotu was a hard working tribe, and I loved seeing Kathy and her swapped tribe bond while collecting crabs with them or getting fruit. The waterfall was breath-taking. The urchin that got John which got Kathy to pee on his hand is classic
8. Amazon - Seems like 1 of the toughest locations. Lot of wood chopping survival stuff with critters. Good comparison between how men did at camp versus women
9. Vanuatu - Don't remember that much survival stuff this season, but the challenges were great and the location is 1 of my favorites. I loved the volcano scene and it was a beautiful island location. The reward where Chris and Julie got to bake hot dogs in the volcano vents was cool! Some people thought it was cheesy but I really liked the cultural start of the show, with the natives "invading" the starting boat in their little canoes, the sexist kava ceremony, and having Brady have to climb the pole to get the idol which didn't really help the guys out
10. Thailand - It was interesting that 1 camp had a far water hole but a cave shelter, and the other tribe had a close water hole but no natural shelter. Sook Jai had problems over that issue with some people wanting to build one and others being too lazy to help. Then Jed had to use it because it rained hard and Steph was stubborn and got sick because she slept out in the rain. Boats and fishing nets got lost reminding us how real this survival situation is for these people. On Chuay Gahn it was interesting to see the women do all the labor, and a little shocking when Brian made his sexist jokes about how that was "natural" and "back to the good old days"
11. Australia - Location was kind of unique. My favorite part about Outback was jumping off the waterfall and that wonderful moment of Rodger having to muster up the courage to jump off of it and into water when he couldn't swim. Michael falling into the fire showed how real all of this was. The castaways didn't ration their rice well and they were in trouble. Elisabeth's hair was falling out. The flood showed how bonded they all became and Tina jumped in to get the rice
12. Micronesia - Interesting to see the favorites do so well at camp but the fans struggle with surviving. The cave made for a cool shelter, and it was a contrast from the Airai cave that was dirty and full of bats. Tough place to be with all the rain. Good challenges. Didn't like people getting evacuated due to injuries though
13. Fiji - The have, have-nots twist was infuriating, but it was interesting to see what would happen with the rich Motos and the suffering Ravus. I sympathized with the struggling Ravu who tried to keep a positive attitude, but were licking leaves or falling over while walking. Erica finding pineapple and Michelle starting fire with glasses were great moments. Exile Island and Ravu was so tough that Lisi broke down like a baby after having been sheltered on Moto for so long
14. Palau - Loved the location especially the aerial scenes of the weirdly shaped islands and beautiful water. Loved the comical introduction where Steph and the other guy jumped into the water too soon and the boat passed by them. The survival thing was most interesting to me when Ulong diminished down to 3 to 1 people. Then it suddenly became interesting, because you have somebody like Steph who has to do everything by herself, and it was scary not knowing how she was going to do. Unlike All-Stars I ended up hating the shelter building challenge this time. It put the nail in Ulong's coffin, and it wasn't as interesting as seeing the 3 different veteran tribes build their own unique shelters
15. Borneo - The original survival situation. Gave you the feeling of being shipwrecked and people struggling to build a new society and survive in the wilderness. Looking back though there weren't any particularly great survival moments that you couldn't find in other ones
16. Africa - The location is hot and dirty which made things sort of unpleasant, but I like that it was hard and unique and truly a survival experience. It gave us a great moment with Lindsey breaking down
17. Exile Island - It was interesting to see how the 4 different tribes got their camps set-up at the start. Gave us a great storyline with Cirie scared of leaves at the start, but then developing into true survivor. I liked the starting race between the 4 tribes. Introduced the start of struggling castaways on unpleasant deserted Exile Island. Overall I do feel like this location was very generic and did not add that much to the show compared to all the other ones


Mind: the mental gameplay, how engaging were the strategic elements of the game
1. Micronesia - I love blindsides
2. Pearl Islands - I love blindsides
3. Fiji - Very underrated. Alliances and loyalties were all over the place, and strategies were complex and constantly changing. Dreamz was the Rob C. and Sugar of the season, the merge was probably the most chaotic and complex vote ever. The idols added a new element to the gameplay, and it culminated in the hilarious Edgardo vote, where everybody blindsided the horsemen, but then Dreamz himself got blindsided by Stacy's plan. The car deal and its renegging was historic even if you didn't like it. Mookie and Cassandra had really interesting individual strategies that people don't really acknowledge too
4. Cook Islands - I had no idea what was going to happen with the 4 tribe situation and how that would affect people's loyalties. I never saw the mutiny coming and never thought the Aitu 4 would make a comeback let alone dominating the game
5. Vanuatu - Started off totally unpredictable with what Eliza did. Julie/Twila made a great team that duped the guys and had their own plans going with the girls. Twila/Scout changing this up at the end was epic
6. Gabon - At every turn this season shocked me. People voted off their allies unexpectedly. New alliances were formed. Sugar suddenly started taking control and playing the game sporadically. 1 of the most unpredictable seasons ever. Didn't like the bad strategy but loved that it was 1 of the least predictable seasons ever
7. Amazon - The gender twist and the generation gaps made for interesting strategic developments. Rob C. made the game fun because he constantly changed his alliances
8. Marquesas - The 1st major merge power shift in Survivor history happened, and then all hell broke loose when Vecepia won the final 4 immunity and stopped another Pagonging. I never guessed that Vecepia was going to win
9. Guatemala - Was really interesting to see how 2 veterans with a cast full of newbies would influence the game. Judd switched sides, and then it looked like a Pagoning, but the ending was surprising
10. All-Stars - I would've have never guessed Amber was going to be the winner of all-stars. Even with Rob and Amber controlling the game by the merge, I never knew it would actually happen, because they were such an obvious pairing and it never happened before. Before the merge, it was fun guessing about all the different directions the game would go and which of my favorite and not favorite players would come out on top
11. China - The kidnapping was a great twist along with the usual idol and swaps that made things hard to predict and created a lot of strategic moments. Todd's crazy scheme of James throwing the challenge and having it fail was hilarious. Frosti bumping into Todd and Amanda while they got the idol was also funny. Denise really killed things reminding me of Africa, but at least there was enough strategy this season which made things unexpected. Amanda doing really bad at tribal council was not that fun strategically but very surprising and unexpected
12. Exile Island - It was very straightforward strategically, except then Cirie gave it life with her risky plan to do the unexpected rather than siding with the unlikeable people. Terry's immunity run and HII also made things more unpredictable despite the obvious Pagonging
13. Palau - Didn't know what would happen for awhile because Koror kept winning and didn't get as much attention until the merge. The Ulonging was certainly unexpected. It was cool when Ian and Tom were willing to force ties. It had 1 of the most predictable finales, but most seasons have several predictable moments anyways
14. Australia - Other than Tina and Keith changing things pre-merge and Mike falling in the fire, it was terribly predictable. Colby even told us that Elisabeth and Rodger knowingly accepted 4th and 5th place. Tina winning over Colby and being the first female winner was a big unpredictable highlight though even though I felt Colby should've won at the time
15. Africa - Had a lot of potential for interesting strategy, but none of it actually panned out. 1 of the most frustrating seasons strategically despite its potential
16. Borneo - Hoping against a Pagonging but was less sure it'd happen than like Thailand
17. Thailand - Bad strategically and predictable


Social: the interactions, how these random strangers co-acted, how the alliance and relationships in the game "played out"
1. All-Stars - My favorite Survivors interacting and seeing what that'd be like just can't be beat except by another type of all-star season. Had my favorite finale ever and brought the first major showmance to Survivor
2. Micronesia - Better than all-stars in some way, because you had both the veteran dynamic and how fans would react to their favorites
3. Pearl Islands - Had some of the biggest and most colorful characters ever. Fairplay is the best villain, and Sandra is my favorite winner with her loud mouth. Seeing the rivalry between Sandra and Fairplay was epic
4. Cook Islands - Loved the race twist and seeing how that influenced the game. Gender and age played a role too, and we had crazy personalities like Cao Boi and Flicka, but also a lot of smart, normal people. The segregation then integration was really fun to watch. Aitutaki had a lot of shifting alliances with Ozzy proving his worth and Sundra starting off as the only Hiki but fitting in well. Parvati is 1 of the biggest flirts ever and really brought an interesting dynamic to the season. Loved to see both Aitutaki and Raro's camplife, and then the mutiny and seeing the diverse Aitu 4 come together was a great pleasure to watch
5. Amazon - The gender twist was extremely interesting, and gave us great moments that we have in real life. Like whether to side with your own gender or with the one that you may be attracted to. I think Vanuatu's gender thing made more of an impact than even Amazon, but what really made this season special was Christy
6. Vanuatu - Men vs. Women with age also playing a big factor. Loved it. Great interactions between men and women
7. Marquesas - Very interesting to see the attitudes of certain people towards others change. 1 of my favorite moments was Paschal originally thinking somebody like Sean was totally undeserving, then siding with him, then winning a challenge together hugging and rolling on the ground, and stealing food at the reward for their tribemates back at camp. Kathy's change from the tribe outsider to most loved on the jury was also an exciting development. Lots of great interactions this season
8. Fiji - Had the race, age, and gender dynamics but also added in wealth. The latter didn't make that much of an impact until the finals, but overall it was extremely diverse, especially in personalities and characters
9. Gabon - Had lots of big characters like Fiji and the fight between onion and Fang was 1 of the most personal and explosive ever. Social relationships seemed to really affect alliances and their change and development more than most seasons
10. Exile Island - Another season with big personalities. La Mina was a dud, but Casaya carried the season as a big heaping mess but 1 that ended up sticking together loyally
11. Guatemala - Having former players like Stephenie and Bobby Jon in the game made for a unique dynamic
12. China - The kidnapping made things really interesting and allowed for a lot of mixing. Thought feisty girls like Peih-Gee and Courtney were great fun to watch
13. Borneo - 2 biggest things that stand out to me this season was Hatch & Rudy and Kelly deciding whether to stay with her original tribe and alliance or play the game with people she got along with better
14. Africa - Best interactions was Frank/Brandon's "date" despite disliking each other, the age fight, and how Lex and Tom fit in despite being so unique
15. Palau - Pre-merge was about Ulong's tribe, and post-merge was about Koror's. Made for an interesting show with the lack of mixing but having started off as 1 big group
16. Australia - My favorite interaction was Rodger and Elisabeth. I didn't like it at the time, but now I appreciate Jerri's bitchiness and how she impacted that season and its interactions
17. Thailand - My least favorite of the tribe interactions. The jovial Chuay Gahn was nice, but even they had a lot of personal tension at their camp. The Ghandia and Ted thing was just unpleasant to me. Sook Jai was just sad that they could never pull together as a tribe and there seemed to be a lot of unnecessarily meanness in that group

15. China - Didn't feel strongly about anybody in particular; liked or was indifferent about almost everybody
16. Thailand - Didn't feel strongly about anybody in particular; liked or was indifferent about almost everybody
17. Africa - Didn't feel strongly about anybody in particular; liked or was indifferent about almost everybody



5) Casting: for a cast with less than 20 people, an automatic point is given for however many fewer people there were...then for each player, decide yes/no did that person have an impact on Survivor as a whole, in your opinion? basically, are they memorable TO YOU? yes or no? no in betweens. for each yes, one more point is added. If casting provided more than 16 players, they should be making up for it with quality casting.
